2017-03-07 08:08:04 GMT <bhagyas> Snowing here today
2017-03-07 08:08:05 GMT <bhagyas> :D
2017-03-07 08:09:55 GMT <yreg> Morning All
2017-03-07 08:12:36 GMT <DarkStar1> Morning bhagyas and yreg.
2017-03-07 08:12:42 GMT <DarkStar1> Morning everyone else
2017-03-07 08:14:59 GMT <bhagyas> :)
2017-03-07 08:19:11 GMT <yreg> Hey Lanre
2017-03-07 08:19:39 GMT <DarkStar1> yreg: Still enjoying Belgium?
2017-03-07 08:24:51 GMT <yreg> Yes, I am discovering new things
2017-03-07 08:25:08 GMT <yreg> like the fact that after Winter comes autumn !!
2017-03-07 08:33:16 GMT <DarkStar1> :')
2017-03-07 08:41:15 GMT <DarkStar1> Has anyone tried installing Hotswap on their system?
2017-03-07 09:09:53 GMT <yreg> DarkStar1, if you get some feedback about it, keep me in the loop^
2017-03-07 09:10:56 GMT <DarkStar1> yreg: Just trying it out now.
2017-03-07 09:11:21 GMT <DarkStar1> yreg: Will let you know how it goes when I migrate my project over and test it
2017-03-07 09:33:25 GMT <bhagyas> yreg: What? how can autumn come after winter?
2017-03-07 09:33:30 GMT <bhagyas> :D
2017-03-07 09:34:12 GMT <yreg> bhagyas, I have been asking myself the same question for the last couple of weeks !
2017-03-07 09:34:28 GMT <bhagyas> yreg: that's just climate change and you're still in winter
2017-03-07 09:34:54 GMT <bhagyas> the months have moved but our expectations remain the same ;)
2017-03-07 09:37:43 GMT <yreg> bhagyas, Ok, I will wait untill 20th of March and see if Spring eventually knocks on the door !
2017-03-07 10:54:47 GMT <MorganP> Hello guys, In the next few weeks, I will upgrade 2 or 3 ACE 4.2.c to 5.2.d/e. Someone has some experience with these versions?
2017-03-07 10:55:05 GMT <MorganP> I know I will most probably have to go through something like 4.2.c > 4.2.f > 5.0.d > 5.1.f > 5.2.d/e
2017-03-07 10:55:52 GMT <MorganP> just checking if I can skip a few jumps...
2017-03-07 10:56:26 GMT <yreg> ~later tell aviriel ping
2017-03-07 10:56:26 GMT <alfbot> yreg: The operation succeeded.
2017-03-07 10:56:34 GMT <yreg> ~seen aviriel
2017-03-07 10:56:34 GMT <alfbot> yreg: aviriel was last seen in #alfresco 5 weeks, 4 days, 1 hour, 35 minutes, and 31 seconds ago: <aviriel> correct channel to ask this question :/
2017-03-07 11:19:12 GMT <alfbot> angelborroy: Sent 5 days, 0 hours, and 12 minutes ago: <yreg> I have seen this https://twitter.com/AngelBorroy/status/836899731121000448 this morning and was wondering What was the problem before this ? was the edit-online not working at all or just prompts for an extra authentication ?
2017-03-07 11:20:09 GMT <angelborroy> yreg: not working at all
2017-03-07 12:11:46 GMT <Loftux1> yreg: Are you seeing extra prompts for AOS? I have a client complaining about that, but my conclusion is that this is a Windows/office thing, and happens with Sharepoint as well.
2017-03-07 13:09:41 GMT <yreg> Loftux1, no news, unfortunately
2017-03-07 15:00:58 GMT -BeeCon- A friendly reminder: Early Birds registration rates are still available until March 19th. If you still did not reserve your ticket, then it is probably time to do so -> http://beecon.buzz/#tickets <-
2017-03-07 15:01:06 GMT -BeeCon- A friendly reminder: Early Birds registration rates are still available until March 19th. If you still did not reserve your ticket, then it is probably time to do so -> http://beecon.buzz/#tickets <-
2017-03-07 15:15:45 GMT <Loftux1> Hey BeeCon, you forgot to post the promotion code ;)
2017-03-07 15:17:21 GMT <BeeCon> Loftux, which promotion code ?
2017-03-07 15:19:01 GMT <Loftux1> BeeCon: On the tickets page you can enter one. Just tested and got: The entered promotion code 'LOFTUX' is not valid
2017-03-07 15:33:05 GMT <BeeCon> Loftux1: that one was for students
2017-03-07 15:33:08 GMT <BeeCon> AFAIK
2017-03-07 15:33:34 GMT <bhagyas> aren't we all lifelong learners
2017-03-07 15:34:08 GMT <BeeCon> bhagyas: Indeed, but we do have jobs that actually pay ;-)
2017-03-07 15:34:21 GMT <bhagyas> so does students (at least most of them)
2017-03-07 15:34:21 GMT <bhagyas> :p
2017-03-07 15:34:36 GMT <Loftux1> BeeCon: But you are an unpaid bot, right?
2017-03-07 15:34:41 GMT <bhagyas> xD
2017-03-07 15:34:42 GMT <BeeCon> Are you comparing your wages to student wages ?
2017-03-07 15:34:52 GMT <bhagyas> I'm trying to understand a student who uses Alfresco
2017-03-07 15:34:55 GMT <BeeCon> or are you just trying to be as annoying as usual ?
2017-03-07 15:35:35 GMT <bhagyas> I don't know who is hiding behind the BeeCon account, but sounds like someone who really hates opposing views
2017-03-07 15:36:07 GMT <yreg> That was me bhagyas !
2017-03-07 15:36:12 GMT <bhagyas> that explains
2017-03-07 15:36:18 GMT <yreg> hehe
2017-03-07 15:36:46 GMT <Loftux1> Damn, yreg I so wanted it to be a bot ;)
2017-03-07 15:37:25 GMT <yreg> bhagyas, I do not hate opposing view, in fact, I appreciate different views very much, I just hate rude/unconstructive statements !
2017-03-07 15:37:40 GMT <bhagyas> now now
2017-03-07 15:37:48 GMT <bhagyas> stop trying to act innocent
2017-03-07 15:40:11 GMT <yreg> need to go now!! Hopefully, we will get to continue this discussion later !
2017-03-07 15:40:20 GMT <bhagyas> yreg: no thanks
2017-03-07 15:40:54 GMT <bhagyas> (btw I hope that was a non-rude/constructive statement)
2017-03-07 15:46:52 GMT <mrks_js> there is much salt lately in this channel
2017-03-07 16:05:05 GMT <AFaust> mrks_js: If I knew what pepper would be like, I'd try to add it for an even seasoning
2017-03-07 16:06:36 GMT <mrks_js> AFaust: i think you need honey to even out salt, no? ;-)
2017-03-07 16:07:10 GMT <AFaust> That'd be if I wanted to compensate for it
2017-03-07 16:07:30 GMT <AFaust> (._.) ~ ︵ ┻━┻
2017-03-07 16:07:30 GMT <mrks_js> ah, you want to spice it up even more!

2017-03-07 16:07:34 GMT <alfbot> Title: Seasoning - Wikipedia (at en.wikipedia.org)
2017-03-07 16:07:43 GMT <AFaust> oops - wrong clipboard content pasted before
2017-03-07 16:08:18 GMT <mrks_js> ┬─┬ノ( º _ ºノ)
2017-03-07 16:08:20 GMT <mrks_js> back to normal
2017-03-07 16:08:29 GMT <AFaust> But really annoyed that Hexchat does not display ︵ properly
2017-03-07 16:08:52 GMT <mrks_js> pidgin works quite well so far
2017-03-07 16:08:59 GMT <AFaust> So not only does Alfresco not want to support the full Unicode range, HexChat is not in league with them...
2017-03-07 16:09:10 GMT <mrks_js> :D
2017-03-07 16:09:13 GMT <AFaust> not => now
2017-03-07 16:13:03 GMT <AFaust> Argh - why isn't there a Unicode reverse lookup from character to hex code yet? Hate scrolling through the lazy-loaded symbol tables looking for a match.
2017-03-07 16:13:38 GMT <mrks_js> maybe the log will help you
2017-03-07 16:14:53 GMT <AFaust> At least in log it is displayed properly
2017-03-07 16:15:10 GMT <AFaust> So they fortunately do not log a mangled variant of it
2017-03-07 16:15:52 GMT <AFaust> But still - how can I determine the hex of a character from the symbol in Notepadd++ for example?
2017-03-07 16:17:05 GMT <AFaust> Hmm - I guess I need a hex editor then
2017-03-07 16:17:07 GMT <mrks_js> plugin > converter >
2017-03-07 16:17:30 GMT <mrks_js> ascii <-> hex should be there
2017-03-07 16:20:19 GMT <mrks_js> and conversion panel
2017-03-07 16:21:13 GMT <AFaust> Ahh - thanks
2017-03-07 16:21:17 GMT <AFaust> Unicode FE35
2017-03-07 16:21:39 GMT <AFaust> That is still a 3-byte one
2017-03-07 16:22:30 GMT <AFaust> So HexChat is worse than Alfresco in this instance.
2017-03-07 16:22:44 GMT <AFaust> Still have to test though if you can use all the meme variants in Alfresco folder names...
2017-03-07 16:23:26 GMT <AFaust> I hope resplin can agree that being able to flip tables is a mandatory requirement / use case...
2017-03-07 16:25:12 GMT * AFaust is afraid of testing 4-byte unicode characters against WebDAV, AOS, CIFS and CMIS interfaces...
2017-03-07 16:31:07 GMT <resplin> AFaust: Sorry, I just got here. What do you mean by "flip tables"?
2017-03-07 16:31:36 GMT <AFaust> e.g. (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ ︵ ╯(°□° ╯)
2017-03-07 16:31:56 GMT <resplin> Oh, I get it.
2017-03-07 16:32:00 GMT <AFaust> or ┬─┬ ︵ /(.□. \）
2017-03-07 16:32:03 GMT <resplin> I thought you were talking about the database or something.
2017-03-07 16:32:15 GMT <resplin> I must admit that your emoji fu far exceeds mine.
2017-03-07 16:34:16 GMT <AFaust> Just looking for potential business cases to make to convince some architects that compliance is worth the effort...
2017-03-07 16:36:25 GMT <yreg_> good point resplin <grin>
2017-03-07 16:40:44 GMT <AFaust> I can't even get my 𝄠 on with HexChat or Alfresco...
2017-03-07 16:43:24 GMT <yreg_> AFaust, for it to supported, it need to be supported by the default font
2017-03-07 16:43:34 GMT <yreg_> or at least one of the alternative fonts
2017-03-07 16:43:43 GMT <AFaust> My OS font(s) support that
2017-03-07 16:45:07 GMT <AFaust> Still HexChat does not display it properly
2017-03-07 16:45:27 GMT <AFaust> Same with some of the characters from the table flips some time ago
2017-03-07 16:45:32 GMT <yreg_> did you check the selected font in preference
2017-03-07 16:46:46 GMT <AFaust> Tried multiple fonts just now...
2017-03-07 16:47:52 GMT <AFaust> Can't even select some common fonts that are on my OS, e.g. Helvetica
2017-03-07 16:48:21 GMT <AFaust> What good is Unicode support if the tool limits it by not using the full set of available fonts?
2017-03-07 16:51:03 GMT <AFaust> But to me it looks like a case of not handling the unicode correctly on a byte level.
2017-03-07 16:51:12 GMT <AFaust> yreg: Since you converted me to HexChat, what do you see?
2017-03-07 16:52:48 GMT <yreg_> nothing that I can not live without <grin>
2017-03-07 16:58:20 GMT <AFaust> You know, that is the same kind of opinion that US/UK IT professionals have when it comes to l10n their apps
2017-03-07 17:34:05 GMT <resplin> ~later tell AFaust I'll discuss the 4-byte stuff with the Repo architect. The previous response was specific to Share.

2017-03-07 18:01:21 GMT <douglascrp> remove the folder here
2017-03-07 18:01:22 GMT <douglascrp> alf_data/solr4/index
2017-03-07 18:01:30 GMT <douglascrp> sorry
2017-03-07 18:01:40 GMT <douglascrp> sorry... you did that already
2017-03-07 18:02:05 GMT <douglascrp> Fiifi, do you see any error messages?
2017-03-07 18:02:55 GMT <Fiifi> the content of model and content still remains empty !
2017-03-07 18:03:12 GMT <douglascrp> ok, but how about the startup log?
2017-03-07 18:05:05 GMT <Fiifi> I dont see the normal "creating index" log associated with 4.2
2017-03-07 18:06:03 GMT <Fiifi> maybe, I am not deleting the folders the right way!
2017-03-07 18:06:37 GMT <douglascrp> under workspace and archive you should have SpaceStore
2017-03-07 18:06:44 GMT <douglascrp> and then, inside of those, the index folder
2017-03-07 18:06:56 GMT <douglascrp> you have to remove the index folder
2017-03-07 18:09:34 GMT <Fiifi> how abt the model and content folder?
2017-03-07 18:09:39 GMT <douglascrp> try to recreate the SpacesStore
2017-03-07 18:09:51 GMT <douglascrp> for the model one, remove only the content
2017-03-07 18:09:54 GMT <douglascrp> let the folder there
2017-03-07 18:10:18 GMT <douglascrp> yreg_, yreg, yregaieg which one to use? :D
2017-03-07 18:10:37 GMT <yregaieg> this one
2017-03-07 18:10:41 GMT <douglascrp> :D
2017-03-07 18:11:14 GMT <Fiifi> just give me the exact commands!
2017-03-07 18:11:35 GMT <douglascrp> just recreate the folder as follow
2017-03-07 18:11:38 GMT <douglascrp> alf_data/solr4/index/workspace/SpaceStore
2017-03-07 18:11:47 GMT <douglascrp> alf_data/solr4/index/archive/SpaceStore
2017-03-07 18:11:54 GMT <douglascrp> the index folders will be created inside of those
2017-03-07 18:12:25 GMT <Fiifi> thats all ?
2017-03-07 18:12:56 GMT <douglascrp> well, I hope so
2017-03-07 18:13:05 GMT <douglascrp> try that and let us know if it works
2017-03-07 18:16:13 GMT <Fiifi> douglascrp:Have U tried Liferay Alfresco Integration?
2017-03-07 18:16:53 GMT <Fiifi> Does LifeRay work with Community?
2017-03-07 18:17:38 GMT <Fiifi> They are supposed to use CMIS for integration!
2017-03-07 18:18:21 GMT <douglascrp> Fiifi, I tried once, as a test
2017-03-07 18:18:28 GMT <douglascrp> nothing serious though
2017-03-07 18:20:08 GMT <Fiifi> douglascrp: Was it with community?
2017-03-07 18:20:19 GMT <douglascrp> yes
2017-03-07 18:20:23 GMT <douglascrp> I only use community
2017-03-07 18:21:40 GMT <Fiifi> ok
2017-03-07 18:26:07 GMT <alfbot> AFaust: Sent 52 minutes ago: <resplin> I'll discuss the 4-byte stuff with the Repo architect. The previous response was specific to Share.
2017-03-07 18:30:53 GMT <AFaust> resplin: The Repository should likely be fine with 4-byte characters - except for the Search-thingy I also reported. Regarding Share, so far it appears that only an annoyingly small utility class throws a fridge-sized wrench into things. There might be some small-scale issues here and there, but the thing on Share is a cross-cutting thing.
2017-03-07 18:32:11 GMT <AFaust> resplin: If you want reasonable example characters (not just the poo emoji), look at http://www.i18nguy.com/unicode/supplementary-test.html

2017-03-07 18:35:57 GMT <fwu> hi all!
2017-03-07 18:36:36 GMT <fwu> douglascrp, nice to know that that reference to js files works inside the workflow
2017-03-07 18:36:52 GMT <douglascrp> fwu, have you tried it?
2017-03-07 18:37:10 GMT <fwu> I never liked the idea of having a lot of code insde the workflow definitions
2017-03-07 18:37:20 GMT <fwu> not yet, but I will definetly
2017-03-07 18:37:31 GMT <douglascrp> cool
2017-03-07 18:37:35 GMT <fwu> ;)
2017-03-07 18:40:30 GMT <fwu> ppl, can someone tell me if this is possible:
2017-03-07 18:41:43 GMT <fwu> In a workflow task, I need the user to select as many persons or groups needed, and then create a workflow task (in parallel) for each person and group selected.
2017-03-07 18:42:20 GMT <fwu> and then create a task after all tasks have been completed.
2017-03-07 18:43:02 GMT <fwu> I know hot to draw this in a workflow, but when the tasks are finite
2017-03-07 18:43:20 GMT <fwu> in this case I have N persons/froups, so the tasks to create will be also N
The other logs are at http://esplins.org/hash_alfresco
