2017-07-03 07:35:12 GMT <yreg> Morning everyone !

2017-07-03 07:35:15 GMT <yreg> Morning bhagyas

2017-07-03 08:21:13 GMT <fwu> hi all

2017-07-03 08:50:40 GMT <fcorti> Morning all... rarely I do this and should do more. :-)

2017-07-03 09:47:56 GMT * DarkStar1 bids you all a good summer morning.

2017-07-03 10:09:58 GMT <visitor> hi

2017-07-03 10:17:21 GMT <visitor> I need help to know whats the best way to do something. In task A an information must be given. In base of that information will be set the role (group) of next task. Im using a alfresco script to read the execution variable whit that info and asign via task.assignee="GROUP_Name1. What im doing wrong?

2017-07-03 10:18:28 GMT <visitor> I also tried ${here_my_execution_with_a_group} but doesnt work :(

2017-07-03 10:19:06 GMT <visitor> I use last version of sdk and activiti

2017-07-03 10:43:40 GMT <fwu> ppl, im trying to replace my old sdk 1.1.1 amp with a 3.0 amp. However, I dont see an archtype in maven central for 3.0.1 version. I just can see for jar packages. Should I use the jar archtype and then repalce something to compile to an amp and not to a jar?

2017-07-03 12:21:07 GMT <DarkStar1> fwu: I haven't tried creating an amp with SDK 3.0 but maybe Jeff's tutorial on SDK 3.0 can help you: http://ecmarchitect.com/alfresco-developer-series-tutorials/maven-sdk/tutorial/tutorial.html#alfresco-module-package-amp

2017-07-03 12:32:23 GMT <yreg> delete all workflows imeanit just saved me from a huge mistake !

2017-07-03 13:14:08 GMT <fwu> DarkStar1, thank you! I will look at it.

2017-07-03 13:55:44 GMT <blastis> anyone ever able to get JODConverter or heck even LO to handle transformations when running inside a Docker container? For 5.2 (or any other 5.x version for that matter), I can't get the JODConverter to start and stay started. I am wondering if this is still being run as a sub-process during startup and therefore can't stay running.

2017-07-03 13:59:13 GMT <AFaust> blastis: Yes, like any other transformation LO is started as a sub-process.

2017-07-03 13:59:43 GMT <blastis> AFaust, thanks. know of any way to keep it (or start it properly) on Alfresco startup inside docker container?

2017-07-03 13:59:51 GMT <blastis> it simply doesn't continue running

2017-07-03 14:00:27 GMT <yreg> blastis, never had issues with it, 80% of our clients are using docker

2017-07-03 14:00:56 GMT <AFaust> You may want to check https://bitbucket.org/xenit/alfresco-remote-jodconverter to connect to a remotely managed JODConverter instance (e.g. running as a separate Docker container)

2017-07-03 14:00:59 GMT <alfbot> Title: xenit / alfresco-remote-jodconverter — Bitbucket (at bitbucket.org)

2017-07-03 14:01:07 GMT <AFaust> Oh - yreg is here to also recommend this

2017-07-03 14:01:48 GMT <blastis> sigh. was afraid of that.

2017-07-03 14:02:11 GMT <blastis> yreg, so there must be a way to get it running inside the container -- or are they using a separate jod server?

2017-07-03 14:03:29 GMT <AFaust> blastis: Would be interesting to know what base image you are using for your Docker container. I also did not have any issues running LO as a sub-process so far...

2017-07-03 14:03:38 GMT <blastis> CentOS 7

2017-07-03 14:03:47 GMT <blastis> should work

2017-07-03 14:04:02 GMT <AFaust> You mean you have a full CentOS as the base of your docker container?

2017-07-03 14:04:23 GMT <AFaust> Or some specific, docker-optimized (stripped-down) variant of CentOS...

2017-07-03 14:05:22 GMT <AFaust> Either way, I don't know CentOS well enough as I never had to use it...

2017-07-03 14:05:22 GMT <blastis> no ... docker pull centos:7

2017-07-03 14:05:35 GMT <blastis> hmm it's a supported distro

2017-07-03 14:05:42 GMT <blastis> or supposed to be.

2017-07-03 14:05:48 GMT <blastis> maybe it's not

2017-07-03 14:06:18 GMT <AFaust> Sure, supported by Alfresco. But so are other distros and I just have never used that one...

2017-07-03 14:08:30 GMT <blastis> makes sense, thanks AFaust

2017-07-03 14:08:54 GMT <blastis> having a look at the link.. you know... if this works, this would be the way to do it, following docker best practice

2017-07-03 14:09:30 GMT <blastis> AFaust, if I may ask, do you rather use Ubuntu? or Windows perhaps?

2017-07-03 14:10:16 GMT <yreg> blastis, We actually used alpine/ubuntu based image for alfresco and the OOTB jod converter from EE seems to work just fine there

2017-07-03 14:10:17 GMT <AFaust> If possible never Windows (for servers) - there just is no Windows OS variant that really deserves the tag line "server"...

2017-07-03 14:10:27 GMT <AFaust> Ubuntu for Alfresco servers...

2017-07-03 14:10:53 GMT <blastis> yreg, excellent... ill have a look at alpine

2017-07-03 14:11:09 GMT <blastis> AFaust, agreed but didn't want to hurt any feelings on the windows bit ;-)

2017-07-03 14:11:10 GMT <AFaust> And for my Docker needs I currently use baseimage (which is also Ubuntu-based)

2017-07-03 14:11:14 GMT <yreg> We had to externalize transformations to a seperate server though, in order to reduce CPU usage on the host running alfresco and/or scale up and speedup transformations

2017-07-03 14:11:35 GMT <blastis> yreg, ideally, i think that is the way to go

2017-07-03 14:11:47 GMT <yreg> hence the link provided by AFaust for a remote JODConverter created by us and contributed to the community

2017-07-03 14:13:16 GMT <yreg> AFaust, by the way, still waiting for that PR of yours regarding putting the remote jod converter transformer in a seperate subsystem

2017-07-03 14:13:27 GMT <yreg> <grin>

2017-07-03 14:13:39 GMT <AFaust> I have it prepared locally already...

2017-07-03 14:13:49 GMT <AFaust> Just did not yet find the time to test it before opening the PR...

2017-07-03 14:14:27 GMT <AFaust> Also, the PR is going to be a bit bigger than that, because I also added / cleaned up the transformer properites, e.g. to support the pipeline/failover transformers as well

2017-07-03 14:15:16 GMT <AFaust> You can already see it here: https://bitbucket.org/AxelFaust/alfresco-remote-jodconverter/commits/61a3178e38fa046e24894a5d4faf393c5fccb60f

2017-07-03 14:15:17 GMT <alfbot> Title: AxelFaust / alfresco-remote-jodconverter / commit / 61a3178e38fa — Bitbucket (at bitbucket.org)

2017-07-03 14:15:52 GMT <AFaust> I also have to cleanup some of the incidental re-formatting which should normally not happen in a PR

2017-07-03 14:16:02 GMT <yreg> blastis, just double checked, none of our most recent images is relying on alpine, probably because it is not part of the supported platforms

2017-07-03 14:16:20 GMT <blastis> thanks yreg

2017-07-03 14:16:22 GMT <yreg> most of our images are ubuntu 16.04/14.04 based

2017-07-03 14:16:56 GMT <blastis> hmm i may have to use ubuntu containers :(

2017-07-03 14:17:20 GMT <blastis> i would prefer something like RHEL or CentOS but I must get this working else I will get flogged.

2017-07-03 14:17:59 GMT <yreg> blastis, are you installing alfresco from scratch in your docker images or are you using the installer

2017-07-03 14:18:01 GMT <yreg> ??

2017-07-03 14:18:05 GMT <blastis> using the installer

2017-07-03 14:19:52 GMT <yreg> You shouldn't be having any issue then AFAIK

2017-07-03 14:20:07 GMT <yreg> did you install these packages as well ? ttf-mscorefonts-installer fonts-noto fontconfig libcups2 libfontconfig1 libglu1-mesa libice6 libsm6 libxinerama1 libxrender1 libxt6

2017-07-03 14:20:22 GMT <yreg> or equivalent for your linux distro

2017-07-03 14:20:23 GMT <yreg> ?

2017-07-03 14:23:55 GMT <blastis> yes installed those

2017-07-03 14:24:20 GMT <blastis> hmm, not ttf-ms*

2017-07-03 14:25:41 GMT <jebla> Hi, is there anybody that have experienced 20 min session timeout on a Alfresco 5.1 enterprise configured with Kerberos? If users are inactive for 20+ minutes they have to restart their browser..

2017-07-03 15:11:25 GMT <mbui> I'm trying to create a tenant in the tenantadmin console with "create helloworld.com admin" but I get these exceptions: https://pastebin.com/raw/kPgB3ejU

2017-07-03 15:12:58 GMT <mbui> Although in the log I get "Tenant created: helloworld.com in 20865 ms". But when typing "show tenants" I get no results.

2017-07-03 15:14:15 GMT <blastis> yreg, hmm works fine on Ubuntu 16.04

2017-07-03 15:14:32 GMT <blastis> yreg, RHEL7/CentOS7 must be missing something ... only thing I can think of.

2017-07-03 15:15:37 GMT <blastis> seems to run a touch faster

2017-07-03 15:17:00 GMT <yreg> blastis, for some unknown reasons (unknown to me) our system engineers seem to prefer RHEL7/CentOS for host Ubuntu 16.04 for containers

2017-07-03 15:17:13 GMT <yreg> There must be some wisdom into that preference ;-)

2017-07-03 15:18:19 GMT <blastis> generally what system engineers/admins know very well.

2017-07-03 15:18:39 GMT <blastis> there's not a lot of jobs out there looking for a "Certified Ubuntu Engineer" ;-) not in the States anyways.

2017-07-03 15:20:22 GMT <blastis> honestly though, I'm at home with either one... I prefer Ubuntu for the desktop but just know RHEL very well from an admin standpoint. Oh well... Ubuntu it will be for the time being. Thanks for the help, yreg, AFaust

2017-07-03 15:22:26 GMT <AFaust> mbui: I would assume that this policy that is being triggered is not really tenant-safe

2017-07-03 15:22:32 GMT <AFaust> This one: no.lyse.alfresco.repo.policy.FolderPolicy.onCreateNode

2017-07-03 15:26:56 GMT <mbui> AFaust: Thanks for pointing that out!

2017-07-03 16:52:55 GMT <yreg> anyone here is using SDK 3.0 ?

2017-07-03 17:46:57 GMT <douglascrp> yreg, hey

2017-07-03 17:47:03 GMT <douglascrp> yes, I am

2017-07-03 18:59:32 GMT <horsey> Hello! Just warming up to Activiti (BPM frameworks in general). The users of my applications are primarily going to be on mobiles/tabs. Is it possible that Activiti can render data other than HTML that can be used to draw the forms on Android/iPhone?
