2017-10-31 07:52:34 GMT <yreg> Morning chnnel

2017-10-31 08:59:44 GMT *** angelborroy_ is now known as angelborroy

2017-10-31 09:07:21 GMT <digcat_> morning

2017-10-31 09:07:41 GMT <bhagyas> good morning all

2017-10-31 09:07:52 GMT <digcat_> hey bhagyas hows things

2017-10-31 09:19:53 GMT <hiten> Hi Guys

2017-10-31 09:20:28 GMT <hiten> I have put the yui compressor in the pom.xml of my share project as the minification of the js file does not happen in the SDK 3

2017-10-31 09:20:44 GMT <hiten> but it does not seems to be working for me

2017-10-31 09:21:34 GMT <bhagyas> digcat_: things are going great :D

2017-10-31 09:21:44 GMT <hiten> https://pastebin.com/5ripExEC

2017-10-31 09:21:45 GMT <alfbot> Title: yui_compressor_plugin - Pastebin.com (at pastebin.com)

2017-10-31 09:21:49 GMT <bhagyas> been working with some home automation stuff recently

2017-10-31 09:21:52 GMT <hiten> this is the plugin conf

2017-10-31 09:22:01 GMT <digcat_> bhagyas has the snow started yet in Sweden

2017-10-31 09:22:02 GMT <hiten> I have copied it from the SDK 2.2.0

2017-10-31 09:22:04 GMT <bhagyas> also now moved to typescript from es6

2017-10-31 09:22:06 GMT <bhagyas> :D

2017-10-31 09:22:11 GMT <digcat_> nice, home automation what setup did you go with

2017-10-31 09:22:22 GMT <digcat_> yeah heard good things on typescript

2017-10-31 09:22:24 GMT <bhagyas> digcat_: not yet…but i guess it will soon

2017-10-31 09:22:40 GMT <bhagyas> digcat_: I did the whole setup with apple homekit

2017-10-31 09:22:52 GMT <bhagyas> Peter also worked on his last few weeks

2017-10-31 09:22:56 GMT <digcat_> combined with reast, redux and typescript

2017-10-31 09:23:01 GMT <digcat_> combined with react, redux and typescript

2017-10-31 09:23:05 GMT <bhagyas> digcat_: exactly!

2017-10-31 09:23:19 GMT <bhagyas> that is our now favorite stack to build alfresco stuff on ;)

2017-10-31 09:23:40 GMT <bhagyas> sharebox is now written in typescript, react, redux-thunk

2017-10-31 09:23:49 GMT <digcat_> ahh interesting

2017-10-31 09:24:04 GMT <bhagyas> also the home automation stuff has been written on typescript :D

2017-10-31 09:24:52 GMT <digcat_> i saw sitecore is making move to angularjs

2017-10-31 09:25:02 GMT <bhagyas> :D

2017-10-31 09:25:11 GMT <digcat_> but drupal going reactjs

2017-10-31 09:25:17 GMT <digcat_> but drupal going react

2017-10-31 09:25:23 GMT <bhagyas> i would prefer to trust facebook engineering more than what google offers

2017-10-31 09:25:32 GMT <bhagyas> google has ADHD

2017-10-31 09:25:36 GMT <digcat_> haha

2017-10-31 09:25:39 GMT <bhagyas> xD

2017-10-31 09:26:22 GMT <bhagyas> given the economic incentives, facebook has a steady stream of revenue for their open source

2017-10-31 09:26:38 GMT <digcat_> yeah thats a good point

2017-10-31 09:26:42 GMT <bhagyas> for google, things get open sourced much later when there is little to no commercial value of the products

2017-10-31 09:26:52 GMT <bhagyas> or when the ecosystem benefits them

2017-10-31 09:28:19 GMT <digcat_> so your not believing in googles' do no harm :)

2017-10-31 09:28:30 GMT <bhagyas> digcat_: they have declared that it has ended

2017-10-31 09:28:47 GMT <bhagyas> same like people still believing 'move fast and break things'

2017-10-31 09:29:07 GMT <bhagyas> the year later, facebook came and said 'move fast with stable infra' and apologised

2017-10-31 09:29:31 GMT <bhagyas> what i like about fb engineering is that they are much sensitive to the community and its needs, and also quick to fix mistakes

2017-10-31 09:30:07 GMT <digcat_> yes, even though Im not a big FB user, i can see they are trying to keep open source on side for the time being

2017-10-31 09:30:42 GMT <bhagyas> digcat_: yeah…they even changed react licensing to mit now

2017-10-31 09:30:47 GMT <digcat_> yes!

2017-10-31 09:30:57 GMT <digcat_> after the outcry

2017-10-31 09:31:00 GMT <bhagyas> yup

2017-10-31 09:32:03 GMT <bhagyas> Also saw david draper on github with react stuff ;P

2017-10-31 09:32:11 GMT <bhagyas> Finally glad that aikau is dead

2017-10-31 09:32:54 GMT <bhagyas> ADF is only as useful as the JS API

2017-10-31 09:32:59 GMT <bhagyas> otherwise, I don't see a value on it

2017-10-31 09:33:00 GMT <bhagyas> hehe

2017-10-31 09:33:33 GMT <digcat_> the JS Api, had me wondering, how can that be scaled, without incurring huge fees from alfresco,

2017-10-31 09:34:27 GMT <bhagyas> digcat_: I think you can just use it

2017-10-31 09:34:37 GMT <bhagyas> instead of worrying about the fees

2017-10-31 09:34:48 GMT <bhagyas> it's on github and the license is permissive

2017-10-31 09:34:50 GMT <digcat_> well i was meaning about how to horizontally scale it

2017-10-31 09:35:06 GMT <digcat_> or can you have it running on multiple nodes, talking back to alfresco

2017-10-31 09:35:08 GMT <bhagyas> fcorti should know more

2017-10-31 09:35:09 GMT <digcat_> maybe thats the way

2017-10-31 09:35:23 GMT <bhagyas> digcat_: you can ask it to talk to the load balancer

2017-10-31 09:35:33 GMT <bhagyas> its just an api endpoint

2017-10-31 09:35:39 GMT <bhagyas> as youd expose on to share

2017-10-31 09:36:41 GMT <digcat_> ahh ok

2017-10-31 09:37:23 GMT <fcorti> morning bhagyas and digcat_

2017-10-31 09:37:30 GMT <digcat_> morning francesco

2017-10-31 09:37:36 GMT <digcat_> hows your day going

2017-10-31 09:37:50 GMT <fcorti> JS API is and will remain open source / free

2017-10-31 09:39:59 GMT * DarkStar1 bids everyone a good morning

2017-10-31 09:40:04 GMT <digcat_> thats good, although i dont think it currently can deal with backpressure can it? correct me if im wrong

2017-10-31 09:40:16 GMT <digcat_> hi darkstar1 how are you going

2017-10-31 09:41:26 GMT <yreg> digcat_, I doubt it

2017-10-31 09:42:45 GMT <fcorti> What do you mean with "backpressure"?

2017-10-31 09:43:51 GMT <digcat_> so been reading up on the reactive manifesto and dealing with backpressure, when a service can slow down incoming streams, so they dont overwhelm the service,

2017-10-31 09:44:03 GMT <digcat_> akka streams

2017-10-31 09:44:27 GMT <digcat_> so the js api for alfresco is just a service, and would need to be wrapped with something in front to prevent over loading

2017-10-31 09:45:11 GMT <digcat_> was wondering what alfresco's plan would be if say you wanted to expose the js api to a lot of access

2017-10-31 09:45:40 GMT <yreg> digcat_, not sure that's the right place to put it... I would put the wrapping/interface in front of the public API (although I do not believe in it as a way to bulk ingest documents)

2017-10-31 09:47:33 GMT <fcorti> digcat_ the right people to ask is the team.

2017-10-31 09:47:37 GMT <digcat_> ok, so im kinda back to kafka approach so that can really control the flow, using pub/sub

2017-10-31 09:48:05 GMT <DarkStar1> o/ digcat_ Can't remember the last time I saw you. How have you been?

2017-10-31 09:48:06 GMT <digcat_> yreg point about the public api sounds more right though,

2017-10-31 09:48:16 GMT <digcat_> in Zaragoza,

2017-10-31 09:48:18 GMT <fcorti> I have some thoughts based on my experience but you are searching for a more tested and proven reply

2017-10-31 09:48:29 GMT <digcat_> ahh lets hear it,

2017-10-31 09:48:53 GMT <digcat_> i wont hold you too it, always interesting to get other perspectives

2017-10-31 09:49:11 GMT <yreg> IMHO if you are looking for a way to bulk load documents into alfresco efficiently and without potential overload.. I would suggest a queue system ... you should be pushing items into the queue and Alfresco should asynchronously consume that queue at an acceptable rate (depends on usecase, but I get in most cases alfresco should wait for solr to catch up before ingesting more documents)

2017-10-31 09:50:00 GMT <digcat_> yes, the solr aspect is hard to know when its finished, ready for more

2017-10-31 09:50:11 GMT * yreg has a feeling fcorti will suggest the use of ETL

2017-10-31 09:50:23 GMT <fcorti> yreg.... :-D

2017-10-31 09:50:30 GMT <fcorti> digcat_ I always define an environment and some metricsaroundit

2017-10-31 09:50:35 GMT <fcorti> for example

2017-10-31 09:50:57 GMT <fcorti> isit a bulk upload? if yes, how many docs/metadata?

2017-10-31 09:51:18 GMT <fcorti> some metrics around the servers and resources

2017-10-31 09:51:46 GMT <digcat_> well only talk but 50/100k per day, so far, but the meta is pretty lean, mainly office docs,

2017-10-31 09:51:58 GMT <fcorti> only after I start making some measurements based on samller chunks

2017-10-31 09:52:03 GMT <fcorti> of data

2017-10-31 09:52:17 GMT <fcorti> metadata per doc?

2017-10-31 09:52:19 GMT <digcat_> yeah ok then once we have a base set of metrics, multiply up

2017-10-31 09:52:40 GMT <fcorti> yes,exactly

2017-10-31 09:52:44 GMT <digcat_> the meta per doc, is the standard, so nothing additional, but the docs can be quite large

2017-10-31 09:53:03 GMT <digcat_> so queing up the docs before being loading in makes sense, but how to determine state of solr

2017-10-31 09:53:04 GMT <fcorti> large? howmuch?

2017-10-31 09:53:36 GMT <digcat_> well i say large, a 100mb -200mb per doc, docs containing lots of jpegs

2017-10-31 09:53:51 GMT <fcorti> SOLR is affected if you index content. Do you want to index content?

2017-10-31 09:54:04 GMT <digcat_> title and filename

2017-10-31 09:54:07 GMT <digcat_> yes

2017-10-31 09:54:36 GMT <fcorti> another variable... big docs with a lot of images and less text... maybe they are similar to index a "regular" document.

2017-10-31 09:55:07 GMT <fcorti> In your shoes, I would like to try on 1000 docs to measure the timing

2017-10-31 09:55:09 GMT <digcat_> yeah im thinking the meta data inside shouldnt be very much

2017-10-31 09:55:26 GMT <digcat_> yes thats good advice, can then work out a base bench mark

2017-10-31 09:55:26 GMT <fcorti> single server, regular resources for the test

2017-10-31 09:55:50 GMT <fcorti> then multipling the content you can have the estimation

2017-10-31 09:55:59 GMT <fcorti> if enough... we are all happy

2017-10-31 09:56:14 GMT <fcorti> if not enough... let's scale or find a different solution

2017-10-31 09:56:17 GMT <fcorti> maybe an ETL

2017-10-31 09:56:18 GMT <fcorti> :-D

2017-10-31 09:56:24 GMT <fcorti> (kidding)

2017-10-31 09:56:31 GMT <digcat_> hehe, thanks

2017-10-31 09:56:38 GMT <fcorti> no prob

2017-10-31 09:59:12 GMT <digcat_> hey Afaust, hadnt come back to your reply re the 'infringing' alfresco USP. have been thinking about this, and wanted to bring it up again, shouldnt in a lively/progressive community, the objective be to improve on features which may be alfrescos USP? and shouldnt alfresco encourage this so they can improve ?

2017-10-31 09:59:58 GMT <AFaust> digcat_: You won't get any argument from me on that point of view...

2017-10-31 10:01:41 GMT *** DragiBus_ is now known as DragiBus

2017-10-31 10:02:06 GMT <digcat_> ok, so the contact in alfresco, were they marketing/sales/tech? not needing a name of course, just wondering where this attitude was communicated

2017-10-31 10:03:29 GMT <digcat_> think its pretty fundamental to making the platform better, if by building stuff we might be infringing USP's??

2017-10-31 10:03:38 GMT <digcat_> thats really bad

2017-10-31 10:04:56 GMT <AFaust> As you know, most of the contacts the community has primarily act as conduits for concerns from within the company. All contacts we deal with on a regular basis are supportive of the community / concept of open source or open core Alfresco...

2017-10-31 10:05:22 GMT <digcat_> yes, so this message coming down from up high

2017-10-31 10:05:57 GMT <digcat_> makes a good title for a talk

2017-10-31 10:07:38 GMT <bhagyas> digcat_: I don't get why you even need proof of it, the proof is in the code ;)

2017-10-31 10:07:42 GMT <AFaust> Not from up high - just within the company. I.e. consider how teams in such a company are organised / motivated. They are working on a feature they consider cool and see it as pushing Alfresco as the company business forward and in so doing also securing their job / position. Then they see someone from outside coming along and filling in the blanks that they had to leave in the open parts so their work / improvement is rendered

2017-10-31 10:07:42 GMT <AFaust> void....

2017-10-31 10:09:35 GMT <bhagyas> * if there is anyone who has worked with Buck ping *

2017-10-31 10:09:58 GMT <AFaust> It is not always management that tries to assert some influence. Not all engineers, sales guys, product managers etc. "get" or see open source in the same way that we may do, and so even regular folks may have concerns that they express and may even let influence the way they work on new features....

2017-10-31 10:14:52 GMT <digcat_> yes, so silos, and non teams, the complete opposite to agile, that is a serious culture issue

2017-10-31 10:14:56 GMT *** DragiBus_ is now known as DragiBus

2017-10-31 10:15:39 GMT <digcat_> if a better solution comes from the community alfresco would be wise to celebrate and integrate I would have thought

2017-10-31 10:15:56 GMT <AFaust> digcat_: Regarding "the solr aspect is hard to know when its finished, ready for more" - not really, in the Repository you can simply do a "management" call to SOLR to check on its status and use that to determine when it has caught up

2017-10-31 10:16:21 GMT <AFaust> Basically do the SUMMARY action from within Repository code...

2017-10-31 10:16:26 GMT <digcat_> ahh i didnt know that, so you can ask solr if its ready yet

2017-10-31 10:16:27 GMT <digcat_> nice

2017-10-31 10:16:48 GMT <digcat_> the summary action, ok

2017-10-31 10:16:51 GMT <AFaust> That is what the SOLRAdminClient bean is for...

2017-10-31 10:17:33 GMT <AFaust> Though it is intended for the Alfresco Enterprise JMX layer, it is part of the open core

2017-10-31 10:17:52 GMT <AFaust> because it is needed to check if SOLR is actually available...

2017-10-31 10:18:04 GMT <digcat_> nice, makes sense there would have been something, but ive always assumed, that as its eventually consistent you just had to wait and hope

2017-10-31 10:19:15 GMT <AFaust> Nope. For one customer I have even built a simple "active index trigger" with it, e.g. send an admin command to SOLR to have it trigger indexing outside of the regular schedule, then wait for the transaction to be done. Control would only be given back to the caller when the current transaction was indexed that way...

2017-10-31 10:20:15 GMT <digcat_> thats useful, then can guarantee, presumably that restricts how much parallel operations can happen

2017-10-31 10:23:03 GMT <digcat_> but at least you know its finished

2017-10-31 10:23:39 GMT <yreg> AFaust, interesting is the backing solr endpoint available OOTB or did you have to implement that as well ?

2017-10-31 10:29:18 GMT <AFaust> yreg: I had to sub-class a SOLR component and change the registration for that, but it was fairly straight forward...

2017-10-31 10:29:47 GMT <AFaust> ^^ I mean, for the active trigger. The status is available OOTB...

2017-10-31 10:34:04 GMT <yreg> AFaust, thought so, as I couldn't locate any possible param orchestration from AlfrescoCoreAdminHandler to force solr to catch up, seems fairly doable though

2017-10-31 10:44:41 GMT <digcat_> so fcorti, question re beecon, i mean devcon, will alfresco be providing a shiny repo for the speakers ?

2017-10-31 10:45:06 GMT <fcorti> more than shiny... will be beatiful too

2017-10-31 10:45:07 GMT <fcorti> lol

2017-10-31 10:45:12 GMT <digcat_> hehe

2017-10-31 10:45:17 GMT <fcorti> we are thinking to use the same....

2017-10-31 10:45:23 GMT <fcorti> of the devcons

2017-10-31 10:45:31 GMT <fcorti> the my.alfresco.com

2017-10-31 10:45:39 GMT <fcorti> with a different site, of course

2017-10-31 10:46:14 GMT * AFaust wishes everyone a happy Reformation Day...

2017-10-31 10:46:18 GMT <AFaust> See you later - maybe...

2017-10-31 10:46:32 GMT <fcorti> AFaust is not halloween?

2017-10-31 10:47:34 GMT <digcat_> hehe have a good day afaust

2017-10-31 10:48:01 GMT <yreg> 👻

2017-10-31 10:48:06 GMT <angelborroy> In Spain is the Day of the Deaths

2017-10-31 10:57:05 GMT <digcat_> angelborroy is that the public holiday in catalania

2017-10-31 10:57:10 GMT <angelborroy> probably I don’t understand properly Guy Fawkers night :D

2017-10-31 10:57:28 GMT <fcorti> No, we have the fireworks

2017-10-31 10:57:28 GMT <alfbot> Title: Guy Fawkes - Wikipedia (at en.wikipedia.org)

2017-10-31 10:57:39 GMT <fcorti> yes, probably it's really different

2017-10-31 10:57:42 GMT <angelborroy> Sant Joan is not the public holiday, it’s Sant Jordi (23 April)

2017-10-31 10:57:52 GMT <digcat_> ahh

2017-10-31 10:57:53 GMT <angelborroy> I switched dates before

2017-10-31 10:58:00 GMT <digcat_> sorry yep

2017-10-31 11:00:22 GMT <_david_____> in NW Spain we burn effigies of "winter" in Saint John's bonfires... we also jump over the bonfire :)

2017-10-31 11:00:36 GMT <_david_____> hello everyone, btw...

2017-10-31 11:01:35 GMT <_david_____> is there any trick in configuring SMTPS in Alfresco? I cannot make it do the STARTTLS when connecting to our SPF-ready new MTA...

2017-10-31 11:02:13 GMT <angelborroy> any clues? what is wrong?

2017-10-31 11:02:19 GMT <angelborroy> some log trace to share?

2017-10-31 11:02:42 GMT <_david_____> no traces on the MTA side

2017-10-31 11:02:49 GMT <_david_____> in Alfresco I get an error

2017-10-31 11:05:04 GMT <_david_____> not even that... I get an email on my admin account with the error from the MTA

2017-10-31 11:05:29 GMT <angelborroy> so it looks like an MTA problem, right?

2017-10-31 11:06:49 GMT <_david_____> no, it's Alfresco: 2017-10-27 12:20:53,080 ERROR [management.subsystems.AbstractPropertyBackedBean] [localhost-startStop-1] Error auto-starting subsystem

2017-10-31 11:14:18 GMT <MTielemans> Usually, SMTPS connections utilize port 465. Try that.

2017-10-31 11:14:37 GMT <angelborroy> it looks like your are using 587 as plain smtp

2017-10-31 11:14:40 GMT <_david_____> okay

2017-10-31 11:14:45 GMT <angelborroy> I agree with MTielemans

2017-10-31 11:15:01 GMT <_david_____> i'm gonna fight wth this for a while... bbl thanks!

2017-10-31 12:38:42 GMT <_david_____> okay, solved

2017-10-31 12:38:55 GMT <_david_____> it was not SMTPS but SMTP over TLS

2017-10-31 12:39:20 GMT <_david_____> working :-) one thing less... now, let's tackle Solr 6!! :-)

2017-10-31 13:09:10 GMT <_david_____> OK, I get this error uploading a document to Alfresco:

2017-10-31 13:10:02 GMT <_david_____> this means Solr6 and Alfresco are not getting along, right?

2017-10-31 13:10:32 GMT <angelborroy> yep Alfresco is not finding SOLR

2017-10-31 13:10:46 GMT <_david_____> maybe due to environment variables?

2017-10-31 13:11:01 GMT <angelborroy> there are few in alfresco-global.properties

2017-10-31 13:11:20 GMT <_david_____> i was trying the simplest, no SSL with SOlr

2017-10-31 13:11:29 GMT <_david_____> I'll make sure I put them all

2017-10-31 13:32:11 GMT <_david_____> yeah, now it works! :-)

2017-10-31 13:32:30 GMT <_david_____> the last fight will be making libreoffice work to previsualize documents...

2017-10-31 13:32:36 GMT <_david_____> after lunch break .-)

2017-10-31 14:31:19 GMT <Loftux> Just hit this bug with Nginx as proxy to Alfresco, and Safari where upload is never confirmed https://issues.alfresco.com/jira/browse/ACE-4925?focusedCommentId=434900&page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels%3Acomment-tabpanel#comment-434900

2017-10-31 14:31:41 GMT <Loftux> Anyone come across a config change with nginx that can fix this

2017-10-31 14:51:35 GMT <angelborroy> Loftux probably you know this, but it can help: https://github.com/ecm4u/alfresco-reverse-proxy

2017-10-31 14:51:36 GMT <alfbot> Title: GitHub - ecm4u/alfresco-reverse-proxy: Reverse Proxy configuration for Alresco ECM using apache or nginx (at github.com)

2017-10-31 15:01:39 GMT <Loftux> angelborroy: Yes most of it, this is as I understand it an issue triggered by combination of nginx, ssl and latest Safari.

2017-10-31 15:03:31 GMT <Loftux> The file actually does upload, but there doesn't seem to be a feedback on progress to the browser. So no visual indication

2017-10-31 15:08:31 GMT <angelborroy> we’re using Apache HTTP for (almost) every installation

2017-10-31 15:08:43 GMT <angelborroy> Loftux so we have few experience with NGINX

2017-10-31 15:09:03 GMT <angelborroy> btw it’s working fine with Safati and Apache HTTP (SSL) proxy

2017-10-31 15:15:03 GMT <Loftux> angelborroy: digging some more, it is an fight between nginx and openssl where the issue originates. I've just learned nginx, it was so much easier than apache so that is why I prefer that. Not that many users of Safari, so I guess this will just be a case of "Use Chrome instead"

2017-10-31 15:15:13 GMT <yreg> We use nginx / haproxy and never had this issue before (TBH none of us developer has a mac and no client complainedabout this before so not sure that we do not have it in our nginx setup)

2017-10-31 18:39:03 GMT <fwu> hi all!

2017-10-31 18:39:50 GMT <fwu> ppl, what is the beast/easy way to upload a document to Alfresco 5.2 including the specification of index values?

2017-10-31 18:40:13 GMT <fwu> im trying to find examples about using cmis but with no luck

2017-10-31 18:45:13 GMT <douglascrp_> fwu, how about the rest api:

2017-10-31 18:45:20 GMT <douglascrp_> :?

2017-10-31 18:46:19 GMT <douglascrp_> fwu, https://community.alfresco.com/community/ecm/blog/2016/10/24/v1-rest-api-part-3-creating-nodes

2017-10-31 18:46:20 GMT <alfbot> Title: v1 REST API - Part 3 - Creating Nodes | Alfresco Community (at community.alfresco.com)

2017-10-31 18:47:36 GMT <douglascrp_> fwu, I believe the last example is what you need

2017-10-31 18:51:03 GMT <fwu> I will look at it douglascrp. thank you

2017-10-31 18:51:36 GMT <fwu> Im trying to understand how cmis , etc works. And for that I would like to have it working in soapui, for instance.

2017-10-31 18:52:22 GMT <douglascrp_> you can use soapui to execute rest calls

2017-10-31 19:09:41 GMT <HasanAtizaz> Is there anyway i can stop executable files to get uploaded on alfresco.

2017-10-31 19:13:34 GMT <douglascrp_> HasanAtizaz, how about creating a folder rule to block it

2017-10-31 19:13:40 GMT <douglascrp_> by extension, for example

2017-10-31 19:14:19 GMT <douglascrp_> HasanAtizaz, you can see a simple example here https://angelborroy.wordpress.com/2015/12/17/alfresco-disabling-file-upload-by-mime-type-with-1-line-of-js-code/

2017-10-31 19:14:20 GMT <alfbot> Title: Alfresco – Disabling file upload by MIME type with 1 line of JS code | Programming and So (at angelborroy.wordpress.com)

2017-10-31 19:14:29 GMT <douglascrp_> just adapt it to exe and i guess it is done

2017-10-31 19:18:23 GMT <HasanAtizaz> we have allot of sites within, putting this rule over all would be a very dauting task.

2017-10-31 19:19:35 GMT <douglascrp_> you can define a folder rule in a common folder, like the "sites" one, and then have the folder rule inherited for all the children

2017-10-31 19:19:48 GMT <douglascrp_> it is just a check mark in the configure folder rule form

2017-10-31 19:20:00 GMT <douglascrp_> "apply the rule for child folders" or something like that

2017-10-31 19:20:01 GMT <HasanAtizaz> (Y) Thanks let me give it a try.

2017-10-31 19:20:23 GMT <douglascrp_> I don't have the exact sentence at hand, but you will see it

2017-10-31 19:20:30 GMT <douglascrp_> it is one of the options down below in the form

2017-10-31 19:21:20 GMT <HasanAtizaz> yup thank you, i am giving it a try.

2017-10-31 20:10:14 GMT <HasanAtizaz> Thanks guys this worked really well.

2017-10-31 20:11:38 GMT <HasanAtizaz> i am looking into it making this rule to affect all sites globally.

2017-10-31 20:35:51 GMT <resplin> HasanAtizaz: Folder rules are the easiest approach, but a behavior might be more appropriate for a rule you want globally applied.
