2018-01-08 10:01:10 GMT <Hiten> Hi Guys

2018-01-08 10:01:52 GMT <Hiten> How can I create an object like shareUrl in share side ??

2018-01-08 10:02:39 GMT <Hiten> This object will be used in email templates and will contain the name of the client

2018-01-08 10:11:55 GMT *** angelborroy_ is now known as angelborroy

2018-01-08 10:19:58 GMT <Hiten> I did found a way to create object for JavaScript but it seems that this will only work in repo side

2018-01-08 10:19:59 GMT <Hiten> https://docs.alfresco.com/5.0/concepts/dev-extensions-share-surf-web-script-js-root-objects.html

2018-01-08 10:20:00 GMT <alfbot> Title: Surf Web Script JavaScript Root Objects | Alfresco Documentation (at docs.alfresco.com)

2018-01-08 10:20:48 GMT <Hiten> is there a way to create the object for Share

2018-01-08 10:24:25 GMT <AFaust> Hiten: Basically load all the data you need in Share from the Repository via a Web Script call and then add the information you have in the Share context...

2018-01-08 10:24:47 GMT <yreg> fcorti, do we have an estimated release date/month for APS 2.0 ?

2018-01-08 10:25:02 GMT <yreg> and will source code ever be available for Partners ?

2018-01-08 10:25:34 GMT <AFaust> ^^ or customers...

2018-01-08 10:25:54 GMT <AFaust> There is a reason I created that "reverse engineer the build process" project for hack-a-thon

2018-01-08 10:26:42 GMT * AFaust shudders at the thought of working with node next week...

2018-01-08 10:31:49 GMT <fcorti> Morning yreg and AFaust

2018-01-08 10:32:21 GMT <MorganP> Someone already used the https://github.com/Alfresco/alfresco-indexer here?

2018-01-08 10:32:22 GMT <alfbot> Title: GitHub - Alfresco/alfresco-indexer: A custom way to index Alfresco changes. (at github.com)

2018-01-08 10:34:23 GMT <fcorti> yreg, AFaust: the release date is not announced yet

2018-01-08 10:34:39 GMT <AFaust> MorganP: Nope, since this is not an official module, only something that someone (who no longer works for Alfresco) created as part of some (internal?) project

2018-01-08 10:35:55 GMT <yreg> fcorti is tyhere an estimate ?

2018-01-08 10:36:22 GMT <yreg> Q1/Q2/Q3/Q4/H1/H2 .. ? 2018? 2019 ?

2018-01-08 10:36:27 GMT <fcorti> yreg, AFaust: the second part of the year should be the right timing for it (hopefully asap) but Doug Johnson is the right person to ask. Both you will be at DevCon next week and you can ask him. DougJ will be there.

2018-01-08 10:41:42 GMT <AFaust> "second part of the year" vs. "asap" - somehow that is quite a difference...

2018-01-08 10:42:10 GMT <AFaust> Well, at least even internally, the roadmap is as unclear as it is to outsiders...

2018-01-08 11:27:18 GMT <fcorti> AFaust: yes, not clear what I wrote. Asap in the second part of the year. For any more precise estimation, we need DougJ.

2018-01-08 12:59:07 GMT <Tichodroma> Is there an official way to change the CSS of the login screen?

2018-01-08 13:04:03 GMT <yreg> Tichodroma, I usually follow Angel's steps here : https://angelborroy.wordpress.com/2015/04/24/customizing-alfresco-for-demo-purposes/

2018-01-08 13:04:04 GMT <alfbot> Title: Customizing Alfresco for demo purposes | Programming and So (at angelborroy.wordpress.com)

2018-01-08 13:04:24 GMT <Tichodroma> yreg: looks good!

2018-01-08 13:04:37 GMT <yreg> Probably not official but definitely quick and effective ;-)

2018-01-08 13:04:54 GMT <Tichodroma> well, what is official with Alfresco? ;)

2018-01-08 13:20:41 GMT <yreg> fair point

2018-01-08 13:21:37 GMT <Hiten> @Axel - Sorry for the late reply. I am not sure how calling webscript is going to help as there is no webscript involved in what I am trying to achieve. E.g. I want to replace Alfresco from the wf-email.html.ftl. I will replace it with a global object like shareUrl, the object will contain the name of the client let say ABC, in my modified OOTB email templates and similarly for every OOTB template. I looked at the config object but

2018-01-08 13:22:02 GMT <yreg> Tichodroma, Note that the !important is a bit ugly there and I wouldn't use it as part of any addon, I would feel more comfortable using it in client project though

2018-01-08 13:37:06 GMT <AFaust> Hiten: Well, you asked about "How can I create an object like shareUrl in share side ??" - so you are in Share and can call a webscript from there to get all the URL construction information from the Repository root scope object that way...

2018-01-08 13:37:53 GMT <AFaust> Hiten: Though now your most recent reply mentions replacing something in the wf-email.html.ftl, which is a Repository-tier template. So what is it?

2018-01-08 13:38:46 GMT <AFaust> Tichodroma, yreg: Well, it is quite easy to replace the entire login page with something custom, and then of course you are free to use whatever CSS you want.

2018-01-08 13:39:05 GMT <AFaust> And since there is a config option to switch to a different login page, I would say that is "official"

2018-01-08 13:47:00 GMT <Hiten> I am talking about the Repository-tier templates in alfresco

2018-01-08 13:50:11 GMT <AFaust> Tichodroma, yreg: In the latest Alfresco versions (since 5.1) you can also configure the extra CSS class added to the logo via share-config-custom.xml, via a condition="Edition" section. This would allow you to avoid the ugly !important directive in Angel's steps (which are using an official way to customise, so I would not worry)

2018-01-08 14:01:38 GMT *** angelborroy_ is now known as angelborroy

2018-01-08 14:09:12 GMT <Tichodroma> yreg, AFaust: Angel's way works fine for my customer setup. Maybe later I will take a look tinto the "Edition" way

2018-01-08 19:40:04 GMT <nicksmaddog> i've got a requirement with regards to pooled workflow tasks....currently, we have a workflow that's started and assigned to a pool...a user can then claim the task and work on it...the new requirement is that we need a way for a user who does not own the task to release it back to the pool...for example, if a user leaves the company and no longer has access to alfresco, we need to release all the tasks they owned back to

2018-01-08 19:40:05 GMT <nicksmaddog> the pool for someone else to pick up...is this possible? i haven't had much luck searching online

2018-01-08 19:45:35 GMT <resplin> ~later tell digcat I saw your note about not being able to attend DevCon this year. We will miss hanging out with you.

2018-01-08 19:45:36 GMT <alfbot> resplin: The operation succeeded.

2018-01-08 20:59:06 GMT <AFaust> micksmaddog: Something like this is not possible without doing low level updates to the task after it has been created. Such low level updates are not possible via the Alfresco workflow API - you would have to circumvent that and go directly to the Activiti APIs. You probably won't find anything on this on the internet because it is a very specific use case that simply involves knowing how to use the various methods of the Java

2018-01-08 20:59:06 GMT <AFaust> APIs in the right combination, and 98% of people would never need to do that.
