2018-01-31 07:41:20 GMT <yreg> Morning everyone

2018-01-31 11:00:57 GMT <MTielemans> AFaust, thanks a lot for your reply this saturday! Disappointing truth, as search scope used to be configurable in XML, but very useful answer.
2018-01-31 11:02:01 GMT <AFaust> Unfortunately, web dev folks apparently hate XML config. Aikau did not respect any and you had to work with JSON, and ADF seems to be going the same direction that you always have to mess with some JSON...
2018-01-31 11:02:41 GMT <AFaust> Oh, and they apparently also hate simple key-value config via *.properties, which would have been soo convenient (share.search.scope.repository.enabled=true/false)
2018-01-31 11:03:27 GMT <AFaust> or share.search.scope.default=<scopeType>
2018-01-31 11:05:23 GMT <MTielemans> Yeah that would be a much better solution by a long shot.. Having to extend/override a module for this is just painful.
2018-01-31 11:16:15 GMT <douglascrp> morning
2018-01-31 13:14:10 GMT <douglascrp> qq on thumbnails
2018-01-31 13:14:27 GMT <douglascrp> I am performing a checkin/checkout using java code, but I see the thumbnail is not updated after that
2018-01-31 13:14:33 GMT <douglascrp> is there any know issue with this?
2018-01-31 13:14:39 GMT <douglascrp> *known
2018-01-31 13:15:02 GMT <angelborroy> you need to ask for the thumbnail and also for the preview
2018-01-31 13:15:14 GMT <douglascrp> the upload new version using share seems to be reflected in the thumbnail though
2018-01-31 13:15:42 GMT <douglascrp> angelborroy, what do you mean by ask?
2018-01-31 13:15:51 GMT <douglascrp> wouldn't share do that automaticaly?
2018-01-31 13:15:55 GMT <angelborroy> you have to do it manually

2018-01-31 13:22:03 GMT <angelborroy> but you can use ThumbnailService to generate a new one

2018-01-31 17:58:43 GMT <mbui> I have this webscript which takes an excel file as input. If it's very large it may take quite some time to process, sometimes causing timeouts. Is there an easy way (without running the webscript in the background or increasing the timeout limit) to have the client wait until it is finished?
