2018-05-07 07:22:38 GMT <yreg> Good morning everyone!
2018-05-07 07:59:29 GMT <MorganP> Morning all
2018-05-07 08:05:07 GMT <AFaust> qwebirc97232: Well - one option would be for someone in the community (you?) to extract datalists from 5.2 and maintain it as an addon that could be continued to be used in 6.0+ for those - like you - that may still need it or already used it extensively
2018-05-07 08:05:32 GMT <AFaust> qwebirc97232: Otherwise you'd have to come up with a custom solution / alternative...
2018-05-07 08:09:18 GMT <yreg> Morning MorganP
2018-05-07 08:10:16 GMT <yreg> ~later tell angelborroy nice work with the production ready docker stuff
2018-05-07 08:10:16 GMT <alfbot> yreg: The operation succeeded.
2018-05-07 10:17:44 GMT <MorganP> anyone knows how the NodeService.getPath find the path of a node id?
2018-05-07 10:18:00 GMT <MorganP> in which tables/properties
2018-05-07 10:18:07 GMT <MorganP> before I start looking at the code
2018-05-07 10:25:06 GMT <AFaust> alf_child_assoc
2018-05-07 10:26:09 GMT <AFaust> Primarily via the parent_node_id + child_node_id + qname_ns_id + qname_localname columns
2018-05-07 10:26:54 GMT <AFaust> getPath filters on is_primary (getPaths doesn't)
2018-05-07 10:27:05 GMT <MorganP> yes I saw that on the code thanks
2018-05-07 10:27:28 GMT <MorganP> (the 2nd pint)
2018-05-07 10:46:18 GMT <mbui> AFaust: Regarding corrupt site dashboard, yes we have a webscript which resets site dashboard. Although there may be times, such as before weekend or holidays that some sites are unavailable for several days before someone reports/fixes it. We can't have that amount of downtime, especially with a customer on a different time zone.
2018-05-07 10:46:42 GMT <mbui> We don't have this a lot, as you say it occurs "rarely", maybe once a month or so.
2018-05-07 10:47:33 GMT <yreg> mbui, we had that before with a particular service pack from 5.1.x
2018-05-07 10:47:55 GMT <yreg> And as soon as we upgraded to latest service pack the problem was no more
2018-05-07 10:49:38 GMT <mbui> I've noticed some errors in our share.logs: javax.servlet.ServletException: Could not resolve view with name 'user/user.name/dXNlci1ub3' in servlet with name 'Spring Surf Dispatcher Servlet'
2018-05-07 10:49:56 GMT <mbui> Anyone know how this URL is triggered?
2018-05-07 11:05:53 GMT <hiten> Hi Guys
2018-05-07 11:06:26 GMT <hiten> I have been working on our custom audit application and I have some queries related to this.

2018-05-07 11:06:52 GMT <hiten> Can anyone please help me out here. Thanks
2018-05-07 13:24:48 GMT <hiten> Hi Guys
2018-05-07 13:25:02 GMT <hiten> just reposting if any one could help me in my query

2018-05-07 13:55:49 GMT <progenitor> so this is an fresco spinoff?
2018-05-07 13:58:00 GMT <xkahn> progenitor: You mean "Fresco (formerly known as Berlin) is a windowing system derived from a powerful structured graphics +toolkit originally based on InterViews." ?
2018-05-07 13:58:01 GMT <xkahn> progenitor: no.
2018-05-07 15:10:28 GMT <fwu> hi all!
2018-05-07 15:32:10 GMT <yreg> fwu, hi
2018-05-07 15:43:14 GMT <mbui> Apologies if this is a too generic question, however we're getting these error messages in solr.logs: 2018-05-07 17:12:11,578 WARN [solr.tracker.CoreTracker] [SolrTrackerScheduler_Worker-2] Tracking communication timed out. Exception in thread "SolrTrackerScheduler_QuartzSchedulerThread" Exception in thread "http-bio-8543-exec-6" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space Exception in thread "http-bio-8543-exec-8" java.lang.OutOfMe
2018-05-07 15:44:05 GMT <mbui> Any ideas? Upping the memory for solr? (Currently 2gb)
2018-05-07 15:46:11 GMT <fwu> mbui 2gb where? That seems a memory configuration at the JVM level
2018-05-07 15:46:21 GMT <fwu> I had that once: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/12461123/java-heap-space-crashing-solr-query
2018-05-07 15:46:22 GMT <alfbot> Title: Java heap space crashing Solr query - Stack Overflow (at stackoverflow.com)
2018-05-07 15:46:43 GMT <mbui> fwu: -Xmx2000m
2018-05-07 15:48:40 GMT <fwu> then it seems too much memory to have that error
2018-05-07 15:49:41 GMT <mbui> I got a couple of these in the logs as well: SEVERE: The web application [/solr] appears to have started a thread named [MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager cleanup] but has failed to stop it. This is very likely to create a memory leak. SEVERE: The web application [/solr] appears to have started a thread named [http-bio-8543-exec-5] but has failed to stop it. This is very likely to create a memory leak. SEVERE: The web application [/so
2018-05-07 15:50:00 GMT <mbui> I assume there's memory leakage in the code (?)
2018-05-07 16:43:13 GMT <fwu> ppl where can I find good resources about extending adf components?
2018-05-07 17:09:35 GMT <fwu> ppl, I installed APS demo. Cant I create a process in the demo version?
2018-05-07 19:08:27 GMT <alfbot> digicat: Sent 4 days, 12 hours, and 17 minutes ago: <fcorti> Indeed! :-D Not necessarily in Alfresco but my experience it is more similar to something like this: https://youtu.be/a3QGwTcyRLQ
2018-05-07 21:15:31 GMT <AFaust> ~later tell mbui: Those messages about "The web application [/solr] appears to have started a thread named [MultiThreadedHttpConnectionManager cleanup] but has failed to stop it. This is very likely to create a memory leak" can be ignored. This is not actually a memory leak, but an overzealous report of one.
2018-05-07 21:15:31 GMT <alfbot> AFaust: The operation succeeded.
2018-05-07 21:20:12 GMT <AFaust> ~later tell mbui: Tomcat checks on shutdown if any non-deamon threads have been cleaned up when the individual webapps have been shutdown. During shutdown, Alfresco/SOLR simply discards the reference to the HTTP client object but does not explicitly tell it to shutdown. Since the VM is shutting down anyway, it is not an issue.
2018-05-07 21:20:12 GMT <alfbot> AFaust: The operation succeeded.
2018-05-07 21:21:39 GMT <AFaust> ~later tell mbui: Regarding SOLR memory + OutOfMemory, I can only say: Always do a heap analysis before changing memory settings. 2 GB are not that much, and depending on number of documents in index and cache size settings they can be (nearly) exhausted, causing OOM when a request needs to load additional data.
2018-05-07 21:21:39 GMT <alfbot> AFaust: The operation succeeded.
