Daily Log for #alfresco

2018-05-24 04:40:14 GMT <Nani_> Hi everyone

2018-05-24 04:40:18 GMT <Nani_> i have install tesseract ocr in windows. And in a document properties the ocr option is showing but the search option is not working,i have installed in community alfresco please tell me the reason

2018-05-24 07:48:34 GMT <monica_> Hello everyone. Is there any way we can change the way we store file in contentstore in a running instance ?

2018-05-24 07:49:41 GMT <angelborroy> to change, how"

2018-05-24 07:49:47 GMT <angelborroy> What do you want to do?

2018-05-24 07:54:09 GMT <monica_> Angel, I want to connect instance's content store to azure. I already connected them by using some azure adapter and copied the contentstore in a container on azure by using azcopy. then, I restarted the instance but it is throwing some exceptions like related to tenants

2018-05-24 07:54:27 GMT <monica_> I think, its not getting the data

2018-05-24 08:04:27 GMT <angelborroy> monica_ did you used something like this?

2018-05-24 08:04:28 GMT <angelborroy> https://addons.alfresco.com/addons/azure-block-blob-storage-adapter-alfresco

2018-05-24 08:07:14 GMT <monica_> yes Angel..

2018-05-24 08:08:00 GMT <angelborroy> so probably is a problem with configuration params, right?

2018-05-24 08:08:19 GMT <angelborroy> can you “pastebin” the stacktrace for the error?

2018-05-24 08:14:54 GMT <monica_> I dont think, its a configuration issue.. Angel, I had a running instance where contentstore is local means, all files were getting saved in alfresco_instance/alf_data/contentstore. Now I have changed the contentstore of that instance to azure container. I have copied all the data from contentstore in alfresco_instance/alf_data/contentstore location to the new azure container. but system is not starting up.

2018-05-24 08:21:21 GMT <monica_> these were the logs created when instance restarted

2018-05-24 08:27:47 GMT <angelborroy> It looks like CachingContentStore is a TenantAware interface

2018-05-24 08:27:53 GMT <angelborroy> probably this changed in last releases

2018-05-24 08:28:39 GMT <angelborroy> Definitively AFaust is the right guy to solve this problem

2018-05-24 08:38:16 GMT <monica_> Oh.. thank you so much for your help Angel.. I'll try to figure it out.. I'll connect with him.

2018-05-24 08:54:43 GMT <yreg> Did any of you guys fiddle with AWS Quickstart ?

2018-05-24 08:54:54 GMT <yreg> Where can I fin solr index ?

2018-05-24 09:01:06 GMT <yreg> angelborroy, you fiddled with solr6 already, do you know where I can find the configuration pointing to the location where solr index is stored

2018-05-24 09:01:28 GMT <yreg> I found content caches but couldn't find the actual index

2018-05-24 09:02:26 GMT <angelborroy> usually it’s stored in “contentstore” folder

2018-05-24 09:02:52 GMT <angelborroy> and solrhome/alfresco for the indexes

2018-05-24 09:03:05 GMT <angelborroy> solrhome/archive for the archive indexes

2018-05-24 09:03:19 GMT <angelborroy> I don’t know how AWS handles this

2018-05-24 09:04:23 GMT <angelborroy> yreg probably they are using also this script

2018-05-24 09:05:45 GMT <yreg> Thanks a ton angelborroy

2018-05-24 09:05:59 GMT <yreg> I didn't know they would be embedding parameters in command line

2018-05-24 09:06:09 GMT <yreg> I did ps aux and I found my solr home

2018-05-24 09:58:28 GMT *** kpattich_ is now known as kpatticha

2018-05-24 12:11:22 GMT <rluders> ?

2018-05-24 13:40:53 GMT <yreg> Guys have any of you tried to setup nginx as a reverse proxy for an https upstream ?

2018-05-24 13:41:09 GMT * yreg is looking at douglascrp

2018-05-24 13:41:15 GMT <yreg> And Loftux

2018-05-24 13:41:32 GMT <douglascrp> yreg, I used it

2018-05-24 13:41:38 GMT <douglascrp> but nowadays I use apache

2018-05-24 13:41:55 GMT <douglascrp> Loftux, thank you so much for the imapsync tip

2018-05-24 13:42:04 GMT <douglascrp> Loftux, it worked perfectly, and it is already in production

2018-05-24 13:42:35 GMT <yreg> Hmm, ok even with apache is there a trick for setting a http reverse proxy for an https upstream

2018-05-24 13:55:21 GMT <douglascrp> yreg, how about this? https://github.com/ecm4u/alfresco-reverse-proxy

2018-05-24 13:55:22 GMT <alfbot> Title: GitHub - ecm4u/alfresco-reverse-proxy: Reverse Proxy configuration for Alresco ECM using apache or nginx (at github.com)

2018-05-24 13:59:02 GMT <yreg> douglascrp, upstreams are not https in that case

2018-05-24 13:59:48 GMT <douglascrp> so I have to research to learn what you mean by upstreams :D

2018-05-24 14:14:52 GMT <yreg> douglascrp, backends

2018-05-24 16:24:24 GMT <eswbitto> I'm at a loss....I'm trying to figure out how to stop my alfresco.log from filling up with a Transformation failed to obey timeout limit.

2018-05-24 16:24:27 GMT <eswbitto> https://pastebin.com/cy705JZm

2018-05-24 16:24:28 GMT <alfbot> Title: 2018-05-24 09:01:06,369 ERROR [org.springframework.extensions.webscripts.Abstrac - Pastebin.com (at pastebin.com)

2018-05-24 16:25:07 GMT <eswbitto> Anyone run into this? I've implimented a jar file that just kills the transformation after 60 seconds, but I still keep getting this logged

2018-05-24 17:26:46 GMT <AFaust> eswbitto: There is no way to suppress this exception being logged without disabling the logger for the org.springframework.extensions.webscripts.AbstractRuntime class... Even if you interrupted the HTTP thread waiting on the transformation (running in a separate thread) you would see an exception logged (the exception about the interruption). You'd have to hard kill the waiting HTTP thread as well, which is an unsupported /

2018-05-24 17:26:47 GMT <AFaust> deprecated Java core API operation

2018-05-24 17:27:44 GMT <AFaust> ...and actually no longer available in current Java versions...

2018-05-24 17:28:58 GMT <eswbitto> AFaust thanks for the info...I ran a search for thumbnails that have this error and I get results back with over 4k files. Do you know of a method where I can "fix" this using some type of bulk method? Otherwise fixing each file would take forever.

2018-05-24 17:31:03 GMT <AFaust> I'd simply use the JavaScript to run a bulk fix script

2018-05-24 17:31:19 GMT <AFaust> JavaScript Console, I mean

2018-05-24 17:38:28 GMT <eswbitto> AFaust for something like that what approach should I do? To be honest I don't know what would fix the files.

2018-05-24 18:01:59 GMT <AFaust> Did you figure out why the transformation takes so long that it times out? If not, I would simply disable that kind of transformation completely for the time being...

2018-05-24 18:12:21 GMT <eswbitto> AFaust I can only assume its a complex file. I would say that 99% of the file types we have are Microsoft office file types...or pdf.

2018-05-24 18:48:53 GMT <eswbitto> douglascrp I'll have to add it and see how it goes. Having a javascript console could really help. Little confused as to why both the jar files need to be install along with the amp files.

2018-05-24 18:49:38 GMT <douglascrp> eswbitto, what are you talking about?

2018-05-24 18:50:01 GMT <douglascrp> you don't need to do that

2018-05-24 18:50:25 GMT <eswbitto> douglascrp that's what the instructions are saying to do.

2018-05-24 18:51:37 GMT <douglascrp> no need to use jars

2018-05-24 18:51:50 GMT <douglascrp> I don't know where you saw that, but it is not required

2018-05-24 19:50:29 GMT <eswbitto> douglascrp when I install these amp files I get a copyright header at the top of my browser.

2018-05-24 19:51:23 GMT <eswbitto> that's weird

2018-05-24 19:51:32 GMT <eswbitto> I cleared cache and its gone

2018-05-24 20:02:13 GMT <AFaust> eswbitto: That is a bug in the module management + dependency aggregation handlers

2018-05-24 20:02:28 GMT <AFaust> At least on an older version of Alfresco

2018-05-24 20:02:36 GMT <eswbitto> I'm using 5.1

2018-05-24 20:03:17 GMT <AFaust> sounds about right... typically only a temporary thing like in your case until cache reset

2018-05-24 20:04:50 GMT <eswbitto> So I'm running this JS script in the console. I'm not sure if it worked or not....for the var space I just selected / for the entire repository.

2018-05-24 20:05:00 GMT <eswbitto> The output doesn't tell me much.

2018-05-24 20:12:28 GMT <eswbitto> AFaust: douglascrp: I'm getting this in log file now....https://pastebin.com/vZ5RpExg would that be a result of running the JS code?
