2018-07-19 07:35:56 GMT <tushar> can someone tell me what am i doing wrong here

2018-07-19 07:54:44 GMT <AFaust> tushar: So, is there an error message or why do you consider it failing? Always provide as much detail as you can, not just say "it fails" and hope we can figure it out from there...

2018-07-19 08:22:33 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Francesco Corti> Good morning

2018-07-19 08:24:19 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Francesco Corti> Heads up: We decided to change the frequency of the Office Hours to be bi-weekly in this summer period. For this reason today the open meeting WON'T happen. Hope to see you next week to discuss interesting things together. Have a good day.

2018-07-19 08:32:34 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Popochon> is there a calendar with topics or something like that ?

2018-07-19 08:35:53 GMT <AFaust> Francesco Corti: Isn't the TTL next week on Thursday?

2018-07-19 08:37:46 GMT <AFaust> Popochon: So far, the new open Office Hours has been conducted with external attendees bringing topics that interest them to the session to have an ad-hoc discussion and maybe define follow up action points.

2018-07-19 08:38:59 GMT <AFaust> But there has already been some discussion to maybe do a bit of planning in terms of which Alfresco PM or engineer is going to attend a specific session so the community knows in advance and can maybe provide some points they want to discuss beforehand

2018-07-19 08:40:02 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Popochon> oh! I readed time ago a post deciding new direction / idea for the OH they said a back to origins of the OH.. I remember now.

2018-07-19 08:40:11 GMT <AFaust> See https://community.alfresco.com/docs/DOC-7942-office-hour-notes for summaries of previous sessions - the second to last bullet point on July 5th covers this

2018-07-19 08:40:12 GMT <alfbot> Title:Office Hours notes | Alfresco Community (at community.alfresco.com)

2018-07-19 08:41:43 GMT <AFaust> There will still be some regular scheduled Office Hours in the future when there is a bigger topic to communicate, like the one with Brian Remmington earlier this year about the architectural strategy...

2018-07-19 08:44:50 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Popochon> thx ! 😄

2018-07-19 08:54:52 GMT * DarkStar1 bids you all a good morning

2018-07-19 10:45:21 GMT <tushar> please do help

2018-07-19 11:44:59 GMT <DarkStar1> tushar: Apologies I just saw your message. I had a quick look and saw this similar post: https://community.alfresco.com/thread/201630-nas-solution-for-contentstore

2018-07-19 11:48:07 GMT <alfbot> Title:How to point contentstore to a NAS in windows | Alfresco Community (at community.alfresco.com)

2018-07-19 11:48:18 GMT <tushar> here is my complete problem

2018-07-19 11:50:16 GMT <DarkStar1> tushar: first I am of the opinion that contentstore and contentstore.deleted should be under dir.root

2018-07-19 11:51:35 GMT <DarkStar1> tushar: If only because there might be stuff hardcoded to look at those locations.

2018-07-19 11:51:57 GMT <tushar> okay

2018-07-19 11:52:11 GMT <DarkStar1> tushar: secondly have you made sure that the alfresco user (the user under which the service runs, has the permissions to write to that location?

2018-07-19 11:52:29 GMT <DarkStar1> tushar: secondly have you made sure that the alfresco user (the user under which the service runs), has the permissions to write to that location?

2018-07-19 11:53:16 GMT <tushar> i didn't see alfresco user in my windows but i m running tomcat service from administrator permissions

2018-07-19 11:53:52 GMT <DarkStar1> tushar: also you can paste that error log in your forum post no need to use pastebin. Only when post in here should you use pastebin (or some other paste service) to show us your error logs

2018-07-19 11:54:11 GMT <DarkStar1> I must disappear for a while again

2018-07-19 11:55:09 GMT <tushar> okay

2018-07-19 13:06:15 GMT <AFaust> DarkStar1: It is safe to point contentstore / contentstore.deleted to a location not below dir.root - there is no hard-coding that I am aware of and due to content stores already having to support arbitrary locations (thing content addressed storage, S3 et al), nothing should ever assume dir.root to be the base where contentstores are located

2018-07-19 13:06:57 GMT <AFaust> Though to be fair, I have already seen horribly written customer code that did just that, but they quickly realised the error in their ways when they had to expand their contentstore to cover two disks

2018-07-19 14:26:20 GMT <DarkStar1> AFaust: I prefer to be paranoid than assume :)) but thanks for that.

2018-07-19 14:26:45 GMT <AFaust> It's a safe default assumption

2018-07-19 15:43:35 GMT <alfresco-discord> <mbui> Hmm.. i'm getting some weird share error where this line crashes withCannot read property 'isDeleted' of undefined from this method: https://github.com/Alfresco/share/blob/2d4d902c1de5010e5467dbd75669638214dd686c/share/src/main/webapp/components/documentlibrary/documentlist.js#L873 This happens when you're trying to access some random folder to access it's content in the document library. Any ideas?

2018-07-19 15:43:36 GMT <alfbot> Title:share/documentlist.js at 2d4d902c1de5010e5467dbd75669638214dd686c · Alfresco/share · GitHub (at github.com)

2018-07-19 15:53:32 GMT <alfresco-discord> <mbui> ^Seems like a bug that exists in 5.1 but not 5.2.3. It's related to the user in the cm:modifier property is deleted.

2018-07-19 16:10:46 GMT <AFaust> Anyone know what the Flowable guys consider to be "Advanced BPMN" support in their editor for their lowest-tier commercial offering?

2018-07-19 16:14:47 GMT <DarkStar1> AFaust: Sadly I'm still only using their free offering.

2018-07-19 16:15:35 GMT <AFaust> Did you maybe check with the docs what they list as features and maybe you could not find in the free offering?

2018-07-19 16:16:20 GMT <DarkStar1> Not really since my needs have been basic this far.

2018-07-19 16:17:26 GMT <AFaust> I mean, I already downloaded the free bundle myself and will likely set it up locally in the coming couple of days.... need to advise a customer on what BPM option to pick when combined with (potentially) Alfresco as a repository. Since they want to know their options for non-commercial too, APS is not automatically a given

2018-07-19 16:18:36 GMT <AFaust> I was looking on their site(s) for any info on their plans for UI.... they seem to be sticking to the legacy AngularJS client so far, but I couldn't find if they plan to upgrade / re-invent that sometime

2018-07-19 16:19:26 GMT <AFaust> Not that UI is that important for the customer since they are likely to hide the default UI behind custom portlets in their Liferay instance

2018-07-19 16:20:09 GMT <AFaust> But it would be annoying if any management additions were implemented in the current UI just for them to flip it around (like Alfresco is likely doing with APS in 2.x)

2018-07-19 16:21:55 GMT <DarkStar1> I don't think there're plans to update the UI anytime soon since most of the issues I get messages about seem to be fixing core issues. I really can't say what features are enterprise only as I really didn't come across a feature that I needed but wasn't there. For my needs, which is very basic and is not integrated with Alfresco, it more than suffices.

2018-07-19 16:22:25 GMT <DarkStar1> I need to go now. I'm about to be seriously late :(

2018-07-19 16:25:28 GMT <AFaust> ~later tell DarkStar1: So far that is my impression as well with both basic Activiti and Flowable - little added value in the commercial variants, apart from maybe support / cluster / minor integrations that are rarely used

2018-07-19 16:25:28 GMT <alfbot> AFaust: The operation succeeded.

2018-07-19 17:43:22 GMT <sdfsdf> is there a way to get LDAP to recognise new AD users without restarting the service in Alfresco CE?

2018-07-19 18:13:23 GMT <Robin_> Hi Did someone already used multiple Users upload csv?

2018-07-19 22:14:19 GMT <AxelFaust> sdfsdf: What you are asking is the default behaviour. You do not need to restart for LDAP/AD subsystem to deal with new users...

2018-07-19 22:17:12 GMT <sdfsdf> When I add new users in AD they aren't able to log on until I've restarted the service even though I have synchronization.syncWhenMissingPeopleLogIn=true

2018-07-19 22:32:07 GMT <robin_> Hello

2018-07-19 22:32:22 GMT <robin_> Got a question about alfresco REST API

2018-07-19 22:34:08 GMT <robin_> Why can't we set a site preset when creating a site with REST API?
