2018-10-23 10:20:26 GMT <alfresco-discord> <anderson> In APS can we restrict browse folder in ACS depending upon selected metadata value during selecting start folder?

2018-10-23 10:43:37 GMT <angelborroy> AFaust FYI Ionic Framework (also) is not better dealing with NPM & Angular than ADF

2018-10-23 10:44:03 GMT <angelborroy> I’m starting to admire that ADF guys, really

2018-10-23 10:44:38 GMT <AFaust> "admire"? Is that the right term for people that are able to deal with "crazy"?

2018-10-23 10:45:09 GMT <angelborroy> Probably this is why Angular tutorial is named β€œThe Tour of Heroes”

2018-10-23 10:45:25 GMT <AFaust> "Have respect", sure... that they are dealing with this and have not gone completely bonkers themselves (yet)...

2018-10-23 11:13:04 GMT <alfresco-discord> <anderson> @Francesco Corti In my alfresco process services, i have created form for my process, inside the process i have created a start form, created 2 form fields one is "id" and another is "browse", i need to browse files from alfresco content services documentLibrary>Sites>and from here i need to give dynamic path for browsing the file from specific folder depending upon metadata id

2018-10-23 11:24:58 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> Can anyone let the Alfresco API guys know how to return a list of JSON objects as an Array?

2018-10-23 11:25:05 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> ;[

2018-10-23 11:25:30 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> looking at getChildren method here

2018-10-23 12:19:34 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> you can navigate in and out of content and folders, using ls and cd ..

2018-10-23 12:20:06 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> Hoping to add more features for administration work

2018-10-23 12:23:33 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> I think it would be useful when dealing with kubernetes and more admin stuff with Alfresco

2018-10-23 12:23:40 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> since you don't need a browser anymore

2018-10-23 12:38:32 GMT <alfresco-discord> <douglascrp> @bhagyas nice one

2018-10-23 12:38:41 GMT <alfresco-discord> <douglascrp> but it would be good if you shared the project's link https://github.com/bhagyas/alfresco-cli

2018-10-23 12:38:42 GMT <alfbot> Title:GitHub - bhagyas/alfresco-cli: Command line interface for interacting with an Alfresco Repository (at github.com)

2018-10-23 12:41:37 GMT <angelborroy> npm????

2018-10-23 12:41:39 GMT <angelborroy> come on

2018-10-23 12:48:46 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> thanks

2018-10-23 12:48:55 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> angelborroy: its on github as well

2018-10-23 12:49:07 GMT <angelborroy> I know

2018-10-23 12:49:11 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> I forgot how to add the github link on package.json - will add it soon

2018-10-23 12:49:20 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> can't do that without making a release

2018-10-23 12:49:28 GMT <angelborroy> I (also) know :D

2018-10-23 12:49:57 GMT <angelborroy> I’ve been working with npm, Angular, JHipster, Ionic and some other criatures these last months...

2018-10-23 12:50:07 GMT <angelborroy> … I have to say that I’m too old for them

2018-10-23 12:50:25 GMT <angelborroy> So understand my reluctancy to a new fellow in the hood

2018-10-23 12:53:11 GMT <alfbot> Title:GitHub - bhagyas/alfresco-cli: Command line interface for interacting with an Alfresco Repository (at github.com)

2018-10-23 12:53:43 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> I want it to be the perfect replacement to the node browser and support tools

2018-10-23 12:53:46 GMT <angelborroy> This will fail eventually: https://github.com/bhagyas/alfresco-cli/blob/master/package.json#L14

2018-10-23 12:53:59 GMT <angelborroy> ^ are evil in Node

2018-10-23 12:54:05 GMT <angelborroy> This is the lesson I learnt today

2018-10-23 12:54:52 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> ill push the package lock as well

2018-10-23 12:54:55 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> so it should not be a problem

2018-10-23 12:57:00 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> Now it shows the github url: https://www.npmjs.com/package/alfresco-cli

2018-10-23 12:57:01 GMT <alfbot> Title:alfresco-cli - npm (at www.npmjs.com)

2018-10-23 12:58:03 GMT <angelborroy> Where is 1.0.3? :-P

2018-10-23 13:01:01 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> what

2018-10-23 13:01:01 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> πŸ˜›

2018-10-23 13:01:10 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> now it is 1.0.5

2018-10-23 13:01:33 GMT <angelborroy> this is pure NPM, yeeha!

2018-10-23 13:03:44 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> xD

2018-10-23 13:04:38 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> npm publish is just too fun

2018-10-23 13:05:28 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> @douglascrp did you get to run it?

2018-10-23 13:10:48 GMT <alfresco-discord> <MorganP> Sounds interesting @bhagyas. Maybe you should add some example on the readme or on a wiki page to help visualize the possible usages.

2018-10-23 13:11:55 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> Yeah, thought of creating a little asciicinema on it

2018-10-23 13:12:58 GMT <angelborroy> Could I add a new issue with an idea?

2018-10-23 13:13:01 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> right now, you first login and then 'cd' into a nodeId, and you can do 'ls' and 'cd ..' and 'list-sites'

2018-10-23 13:13:11 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> also 'view-metadata'

2018-10-23 13:13:13 GMT <angelborroy> having a local configuration file to preserve host and so values

2018-10-23 13:13:24 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> angelborroy, it is already preserverd

2018-10-23 13:13:27 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> preserved*

2018-10-23 13:13:29 GMT <angelborroy> really?

2018-10-23 13:13:31 GMT <angelborroy> nice!

2018-10-23 13:13:43 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> if you exit, and try opening it again it uses the old ticket

2018-10-23 13:13:44 GMT <angelborroy> it’s preserved until logout, right?

2018-10-23 13:13:50 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> if not prompts to login again

2018-10-23 13:14:01 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> as long as the ticket is valid, yas

2018-10-23 13:14:05 GMT <angelborroy> and you have to introduce the host again

2018-10-23 13:14:13 GMT <angelborroy> how about a β€˜.env’?

2018-10-23 13:14:18 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> yeah, but it also has local history

2018-10-23 13:14:19 GMT <angelborroy> or something like this

2018-10-23 13:14:28 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> so you can press the up arrow to find the login command and hit enter

2018-10-23 13:14:30 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> πŸ˜‰

2018-10-23 13:14:43 GMT <angelborroy> you can also build a shell script

2018-10-23 13:14:57 GMT <angelborroy> many possibilities, congrats bhagyas

2018-10-23 13:15:03 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> yes

2018-10-23 13:15:05 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> πŸ˜„

2018-10-23 13:15:10 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> thank you so much

2018-10-23 13:15:24 GMT <alfresco-discord> <douglascrp> @bhagyas no, I haven't tested it.. I was just reading about it

2018-10-23 13:15:27 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> on last Saturday I couldn't sleep until i got the basic version working

2018-10-23 13:15:28 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> πŸ˜„

2018-10-23 13:15:40 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> was quite fun to build as well

2018-10-23 13:16:18 GMT <alfresco-discord> <MorganP> I don't know if you are familiar with Documentum but it sounds just like a small/first version of an iapi/idql tool

2018-10-23 13:16:44 GMT <alfresco-discord> <MorganP> And in Documentum, it is so fucking useful. It is like the only thing I always thought was missing in Alfresco

2018-10-23 13:16:53 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> exactly

2018-10-23 13:17:08 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> now you need node browser no more

2018-10-23 13:17:09 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> πŸ˜‰

2018-10-23 13:17:34 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> (need to add search function)

2018-10-23 13:17:36 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> xD

2018-10-23 13:17:52 GMT <alfresco-discord> <douglascrp> @MorganP and DQL

2018-10-23 13:18:09 GMT <alfresco-discord> <MorganP> yes idql, that's what I said πŸ˜„

2018-10-23 13:18:10 GMT <alfresco-discord> <douglascrp> I liked that

2018-10-23 13:18:16 GMT <alfresco-discord> <douglascrp> ah, ok.. πŸ˜„

2018-10-23 13:18:49 GMT <alfresco-discord> <douglascrp> @MorganP I worked for 7 years with it

2018-10-23 13:20:04 GMT <angelborroy> @douglascrp When you was a child?

2018-10-23 13:20:24 GMT <alfresco-discord> <douglascrp> I am 34, almost 35

2018-10-23 13:20:59 GMT <alfresco-discord> <douglascrp> I was not a child at the time, for sure πŸ˜„

2018-10-23 13:22:06 GMT <angelborroy> Just joking :-P

2018-10-23 13:22:18 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> I thought douglas was almost my age

2018-10-23 13:22:27 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> damn ure old :p

2018-10-23 13:22:50 GMT <alfresco-discord> <douglascrp> angelborroy I know

2018-10-23 13:22:54 GMT <alfresco-discord> <douglascrp> 😬

2018-10-23 13:25:28 GMT <alfresco-discord> <kgastaldo> Hi All - Just a reminder, we're hosting Tech Talk Live tomorrow with Mauricio Salatino. He'll be covering Spring Cloud on Kubernetes. We're hosting this one with GoToMeeting due to the recent issues we've had with YouTubeLive/Google Hangout. You do need to register. https://www.alfresco.com/events/webinars/tech-talk-live-spring-cloud-kubernetes

2018-10-23 13:25:30 GMT <alfbot> Title:Tech Talk Live: Spring Cloud on Kubernetes | Alfresco (at www.alfresco.com)

2018-10-23 13:26:54 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> @kgastaldo can you also post it on announcements?

2018-10-23 13:27:07 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> (until i get the announcement sync to work)

2018-10-23 13:27:08 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> 😦

2018-10-23 13:36:49 GMT <xkahn> bhagyas: sounds like something I started a while back. Adding a CMIS extension to gvfs on Linux

2018-10-23 13:37:09 GMT <alfresco-discord> <kgastaldo> Strike that registration bit. We're hosting on YouTube again - no registration required - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NcgCmIXpjbs

2018-10-23 13:37:15 GMT <alfresco-discord> <kgastaldo> See you guys tomorrow!

2018-10-23 13:37:18 GMT <xkahn> bhagyas: you could "mount" the alfresco server into your file system and get access to all the files and metadata

2018-10-23 13:41:17 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> xkahn, yeah, this one is a little different since it exposes a terminal

2018-10-23 13:41:25 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> instead of a virtual file system

2018-10-23 13:42:02 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> I just added 'search' function, you can do FTS on it

2018-10-23 13:42:23 GMT <AFaust> Hmm...given the limitations of the ReST API regarding stores / query languages, I think I'll stick to good old NodeBrowser

2018-10-23 13:43:45 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> AFaust, can add more repository side code as well, but focusing on stuff already available through the REST api

2018-10-23 13:43:53 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> and it has to be contextual

2018-10-23 13:44:02 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> and keyboard navigation and auto completion is important

2018-10-23 13:44:35 GMT <xkahn> bhagyas: right

2018-10-23 13:46:10 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> AFaust, I'm thinking of adding charts as well, that completely does away with admin console

2018-10-23 13:48:45 GMT <AFaust> I wouldn't do that... honestly, I find the chart-tools the least useful in admin console and only ported them to OOTBee Support Tools to have feature parity with the EE Support Tools...

2018-10-23 13:50:06 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> https://github.com/kroitor/asciichart

2018-10-23 13:50:07 GMT <alfbot> Title:GitHub - kroitor/asciichart: Nice-looking lightweight console ASCII line charts β•β”ˆβ•― for NodeJS and browsers with no dependencies (at github.com)

2018-10-23 13:50:30 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> the library im using can redraw the console at intervals as well, so a constantly updating chart is not too far off

2018-10-23 13:53:29 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> I'm already using a redrawing progress bar when doing the upload

2018-10-23 13:55:11 GMT <xkahn> ummm... bhagyas, AFaust: Charts in the node browser?

2018-10-23 13:55:20 GMT <xkahn> What am I missing? I've never seen charts there.

2018-10-23 13:57:38 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> xkahn, admin console

2018-10-23 13:57:57 GMT <xkahn> Oh! The admin console. yeah. That makes more sense.

2018-10-23 23:12:33 GMT <kombinat> hello :)

2018-10-23 23:32:02 GMT <kombinat> is this linked with the discord chat too?

2018-10-23 23:32:28 GMT <kombinat> ah cool

2018-10-23 23:39:55 GMT <kombinat> having fun with setting up an alfresco server (201806-GA docker containers) and hoping for a little help on one item... the invitation mail is not being sent out when I add a user. A test email goes out successfully on startup. Notification emails are sent for activities. notification.email.siteinvite=true is set in the config. Email template new-user-email.html.ftl and invite-email.html.ftl exist. I can't see any smtp-related logs

2018-10-23 23:39:55 GMT <kombinat> could indicate the problem. I'm wondering where else I could look, or do to diagnose the cause?

2018-10-23 23:40:31 GMT <kombinat> hoping this venue is okay for asking that kind of question :)
