Daily Log for #alfresco

2018-11-05 08:27:01 GMT <alfbot> angelborroy: Sent 3 days, 17 hours, and 42 minutes ago: <yreg> I have been experimenting with the alfresco-docker of keensoft, that docker-compose setup is neat, it works perfectly on my Mac, but not on a fresh ubuntu 18.04 server, I needed to to manually fix permissions on the Postgres logs folder

2018-11-05 08:33:17 GMT <yreg> Good morning everyone

2018-11-05 08:33:52 GMT <yreg> angelborroy, I didn't get consistent result across multiple instances, I think best would be to add a comment in the readme about tweaking permissions, What do you think ?

2018-11-05 08:34:58 GMT <angelborroy> It’s more or less the same added for “solr-data” folder:

2018-11-05 08:35:04 GMT <angelborroy> For Linux hosts, set solr-data folder permissions to user with UID 1001, as alfresco-search-services is using an container user named solr with UID 1001.

2018-11-05 08:36:00 GMT <yreg> Yeah, but I think that one had a comment above the volume declaration in docker-compose.yml

2018-11-05 08:36:42 GMT <angelborroy> This one?

2018-11-05 08:36:43 GMT <angelborroy> https://github.com/keensoft/docker-alfresco/blob/master/docker-compose.yml#L62

2018-11-05 08:36:44 GMT <alfbot> Title:docker-alfresco/docker-compose.yml at master · keensoft/docker-alfresco · GitHub (at github.com)

2018-11-05 08:39:22 GMT <angelborroy> Anyway made a pull request with your considerations

2018-11-05 08:39:48 GMT <angelborroy> made > make

2018-11-05 08:55:52 GMT <alfresco-discord> <RichetDan> Hi all. Talking about REST API v1, I've also noticed that if I have to update the content and metadata of a node I have to call 2 diffrent API (PUT /node and /node/content). So if I have to make such a simple operation in a unique transaction I have to write my own custom webscript.

2018-11-05 11:34:09 GMT *** angelborroy_ is now known as angelborroy

2018-11-05 13:18:01 GMT <yreg> Correct

2018-11-05 15:33:17 GMT <Tichodroma> in JS, node.properties.content.url is something like /d/d/workspace/SpacesStore/d402924a-fe4f-4d80-b463-fbd35fcec1ea/foo.jpg

2018-11-05 15:33:38 GMT <Tichodroma> How can I get the file system path: contentUrl=store://2013/12/14/23/46/28e38257-d0a6-47bd-b1a8-918e2670e58c.bin ?

2018-11-05 15:37:01 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> Tichodroma last time I checked that was a bit challenging even with java with the latest versions of alfresco

2018-11-05 15:37:30 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> so I can imagine it can be even more challenging with js

2018-11-05 15:37:37 GMT <Tichodroma> :(

2018-11-05 15:38:46 GMT <Tichodroma> Maybe I will have to ask the DB.

2018-11-05 15:42:58 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Thijs> @Tichodroma Can't you just ask the nodeService for property with qname : "{http://www.alfresco.org/model/content/1.0}content" ?

2018-11-05 15:43:23 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Thijs> in Java

2018-11-05 15:43:27 GMT <Tichodroma> probably. But I'd like to implement this simple task in JS, if possible.

2018-11-05 15:43:57 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Thijs> For me it is the other way around, trying to avoid any JS code.

2018-11-05 15:44:17 GMT <Tichodroma> :)

2018-11-05 15:44:52 GMT <Tichodroma> usually I agree. But this is a trivial task not worth Java deployment and a restart

2018-11-05 15:46:05 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Thijs> it is a 1 time thing?

2018-11-05 15:46:12 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Thijs> on how many documents?

2018-11-05 15:46:17 GMT <Tichodroma> many documents

2018-11-05 15:46:19 GMT <yreg> Actually if the nodeService can do the job for you, it should be fairly easy to invoke it from js-console

2018-11-05 15:46:47 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Thijs> I'm sure the nodeService can in 5.1

2018-11-05 15:46:51 GMT <yreg> Now that I check the code for 5.2.x it should be doable, not really straight forward though

2018-11-05 15:46:53 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Thijs> because we use it

2018-11-05 15:47:02 GMT <Tichodroma> 4.2 :(

2018-11-05 15:47:06 GMT <Tichodroma> and old system

2018-11-05 15:47:37 GMT <yreg> I must have confused this with something else (like doing the reverse lookup or something)

2018-11-05 15:59:57 GMT <yreg> Tichodroma, that wasn't that hard after all, sorry for misleading :P https://gist.github.com/yregaieg/e9420508ea24b2cbc165212783e27f24#file-get-content-url-js
