2019-01-14 10:20:27 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Thijs> @yreg, about Oracle deadlocks (bit later). I remember something with slow updates on Oracle RAC. Was resolved by disabling some functionality. Updating nodes involves quite a bit of deletes and inserts, and it does not always play nice with these partitioning schemes.
2019-01-14 10:47:05 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> interesting ... thanks for the input
2019-01-14 10:47:28 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> but in my case, it is not related to any upgrade
2019-01-14 10:48:07 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> I actually have deadlocks happening every once in a while on systems that are not heavily used (TST/ACC)
2019-01-14 10:48:47 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> and Oracle seems and able to detect them, and so I get stuck with zombie process all waiting for DB
2019-01-14 10:49:07 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Thijs> doesn't ring a bel
2019-01-14 10:49:23 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> this is a new system, haven't went to prod yet, and I am afraid that can result in major problems in prod
2019-01-14 10:50:10 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Thijs> well, you probably explained already that PG will make their lives easier?
2019-01-14 11:50:34 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> I can explain that all day long, it's a lost cause
2019-01-14 11:55:17 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Thijs> never stop explaining
2019-01-14 13:13:48 GMT <alfresco-discord> <kgastaldo> @angel.borroy I'd love to have a chat about this at DevCon. Ole and I feel like we're not providing the right events/support for community with tech talk live and office hours, etc. Meetups have mixed results as well. I'd love to walk away from DevCon with a better idea about what Alfresco should be providing the community for growth/support.

2019-01-14 18:38:03 GMT <angelborroy> great news!
2019-01-14 18:38:05 GMT <angelborroy> congrats
2019-01-14 18:38:19 GMT <alfresco-discord> <douglascrp> I hope to be able to play with it soon
2019-01-14 18:42:58 GMT <alfresco-discord> <ohej> Thanks!
2019-01-14 18:43:18 GMT <alfresco-discord> <ohej> @douglascrp It will feel pretty well known to you, it takes a similar approach as you have in your own fork
2019-01-14 18:43:33 GMT <alfresco-discord> <douglascrp> cool
2019-01-14 18:43:40 GMT <alfresco-discord> <ohej> We did have to make some different decisions on how we leverage docker under the covers in order to have a setup that works across multiple platforms
2019-01-14 18:43:48 GMT <alfresco-discord> <douglascrp> so I have a real project I can try to "convert" into this new one
2019-01-14 18:43:50 GMT <alfresco-discord> <ohej> especially because Windows 7 is a PITA to deal with
2019-01-14 18:44:19 GMT <alfresco-discord> <ohej> Excellent.. and as always, always appreciate feedback
2019-01-14 18:45:01 GMT <alfresco-discord> <ohej> and again, remember it's a beta. Some quirks will be there. I'm hoping we will have another beta maybe as early as mid next week
2019-01-14 18:45:19 GMT <alfresco-discord> <douglascrp> awesome
2019-01-14 19:42:46 GMT <xkahn> Hmm... Is it possible to manage multilingual content via CMIS?
