2019-01-30 09:28:38 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> Good morning
2019-01-30 09:32:44 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Arun> Hi all,
2019-01-30 09:33:37 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Arun> how to assign a workflow task to multiple groups in alfresco
2019-01-30 09:35:57 GMT <Tichodroma> All this talk about global and AWS first ist nice. But how many of your customers require this? How many are just happy with some simple Ubuntu VMs that run the DB, Alfresco and Solr?
2019-01-30 09:52:30 GMT <alfresco-discord> <mbui> Tichodrama: where is the stream located at?
2019-01-30 09:54:03 GMT <Tichodroma> it was available from the devcon site. But right now it is broken.
2019-01-30 09:54:34 GMT <Tichodroma> Well, John was not talking about things very specifc for Alfresco. Lots of global, cloud, AI, ...
2019-01-30 10:03:20 GMT <alfresco-discord> <kgastaldo> Sorry for the live stream tech issues. We will he sharing the recordings after the conference. Should be available the 2nd week or Feb
2019-01-30 10:03:27 GMT <alfresco-discord> <kgastaldo> Of Feb*
2019-01-30 10:04:38 GMT <Tichodroma> ty
2019-01-30 10:31:17 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> Finally, there’s a statement on Alfresco Share 😅
2019-01-30 10:31:45 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> Apparently the default UI for community
2019-01-30 10:32:00 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/451644531323174914/540116968590671873/image0.jpg
2019-01-30 10:33:14 GMT <alfresco-discord> <mbui> "share not going away", I wonder if this also mean that Share will keep being developed with new features and bug fixes. 🤔
2019-01-30 10:54:56 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> @Francesco Corti the email discord link you sent is expired
2019-01-30 10:57:44 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> @everyone at devcon, you can invite your colleagues to the discord using code f7XntQN https://discord.gg/f7XntQN
2019-01-30 10:57:45 GMT <alfbot> Title:Discord (at discordapp.com)
2019-01-30 14:14:49 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> Lightening talks about to start
2019-01-30 14:45:57 GMT <Tichodroma> anything interesting announced so far? What about a working Maven build for repository and share?
2019-01-30 15:09:03 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> @Tichodroma u are asking too much 😛
2019-01-30 15:09:15 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> Share gets to live, that’s the big news
2019-01-30 15:09:57 GMT <Tichodroma> that's nice. But if we can't build it we can't tweak it
2019-01-30 15:10:26 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> why can't you build it ?
2019-01-30 15:11:08 GMT <Tichodroma> does `mvn test package` work on Share as cloned from https://github.com/Alfresco/share ?
2019-01-30 15:11:09 GMT <alfbot> Title:GitHub - Alfresco/share: Alfresco Share (at github.com)
2019-01-30 15:12:32 GMT <Tichodroma> let me try ...
2019-01-30 15:17:07 GMT <Tichodroma> do I have to worry about the Share build downloading https://artifacts.alfresco.com/nexus/content/groups/public-snapshots/org/alfresco/alfresco-platform/5.2-SNAPSHOT/alfresco-platform-5.2-20170714.000938-84.war
2019-01-30 15:17:17 GMT <Tichodroma> Why not 6.x?
2019-01-30 15:20:04 GMT <Tichodroma> well, Share is old. Why not depend on a repository from July 2017?
2019-01-30 15:21:09 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> That's probably for building share services amp
2019-01-30 15:22:28 GMT <Tichodroma> probably. But why 5.2? Why not 6 or even 7 (if I don't confuse the version numbers of the repository)
2019-01-30 15:24:15 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> 6.1 is actually the latest, haven't checked in a while
2019-01-30 15:26:32 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> @Tichodroma not sure why but it seems there is a 6.0 branch in share repo
2019-01-30 15:35:27 GMT <Tichodroma> all these versions are quite confusing
2019-01-30 15:40:02 GMT <Tichodroma> OK, trying to build the alfresco-repository-7.46 tag of https://github.com/Alfresco/alfresco-repository.git looks like this: https://bpaste.net/show/b1d4ee92670e
2019-01-30 15:40:04 GMT <alfbot> Title:GitHub - Alfresco/alfresco-repository: Metadata and content storage for Alfresco Content Services (Community and Enterprise) (at github.com)
2019-01-30 15:40:16 GMT <Tichodroma> This is *far* from being buildable: Tests run: 3193, Failures: 4, Errors: 1975, Skipped: 7
2019-01-30 15:40:39 GMT <Tichodroma> Does anybody at Alfresco actually build these projects?
2019-01-30 15:40:58 GMT <Tichodroma> Or is there some hidden dependency?
2019-01-30 15:46:03 GMT <alfresco-discord> <ohej> @Tichodroma We are aware this is a big issue. The intention is that this should build with no issues what so ever. This is being addressed by engineering
2019-01-30 15:46:42 GMT <hi-ko> @ohej: this year?
2019-01-30 15:47:27 GMT <alfresco-discord> <ohej> I believe the problem is that some dependencies are located in our private repositories. This is a mistake, and due the nature of how Maven just caches everything on your machine, and our internal CI systems all have credentials to our private repositories this just fell through the cracks
2019-01-30 15:47:33 GMT <alfresco-discord> <ohej> @hi-ko Yes.
2019-01-30 15:47:37 GMT <alfresco-discord> <ohej> Are you at DevCon?
2019-01-30 15:48:03 GMT <alfresco-discord> <ohej> Best I can say right now is that this is NOT intentional and not the intended behaviour.
2019-01-30 15:51:08 GMT <hi-ko> no - unfortunately not. the most current topics are out of scope for us at the moment (docker, ADF).
2019-01-30 15:51:29 GMT <Tichodroma> ohje: Good to hear. TY
2019-01-30 15:51:56 GMT <Tichodroma> s/ohje/ohej/ :)
2019-01-30 15:52:01 GMT <alfresco-discord> <ohej> 😉
2019-01-30 23:20:09 GMT <alfresco-discord> <GeorgeP> parapada
