2019-02-19 06:31:00 GMT <alfresco-discord> <ramesh> Hi all, I want to setup external authentication and sso for alfresco community. Is it possible with community version.
2019-02-19 06:52:36 GMT <alfresco-discord> <MorganP> @ramesh: which version? But yes it is possible for the Community Version as well
2019-02-19 06:52:58 GMT <alfresco-discord> <ramesh> I am using alfresco 5.2
2019-02-19 06:55:19 GMT <alfresco-discord> <ramesh> when a user connects to Share they should be shown their user dashboard, and not see the Share login page. Please kindly confirm the statement if possible with alfresco community. and also request to share any links
2019-02-19 07:55:45 GMT <alfresco-discord> <MorganP> You probably want LDAP external user registry (M$ ActiveDirectory, OpenLDAP, ...)

2019-02-19 13:03:40 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Loftux> Is there any known reason why Alfresco mix up sessions, such as cm:creator gets assigned a random user? This is with a 2-node cluster Enterprise 5.2
2019-02-19 13:31:45 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Loftux> Another case reported is for a scheduled job sending emails. It runs as "System" which normally use the default email in config as sender, but here sends as random user.
2019-02-19 13:35:56 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> sounds like auth leak
2019-02-19 13:36:03 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Alexander Seitz> @Loftux Never heard of these problems...is it reproducable?
2019-02-19 13:36:10 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> Afaust had something like this not that long ago
2019-02-19 13:37:29 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Loftux> Customer says it is, will connect with them soon to get more details.
2019-02-19 13:39:45 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Loftux> @AFaust Any details? They have a lot of custom code not by us, maybe a runAs that does not "popAuthentication"
2019-02-19 13:39:57 GMT <AFaust> The auth leak I had most recently was APS, not ACS...
2019-02-19 13:40:13 GMT <AFaust> runAs with RunAsWork parameter is perfectly safe
2019-02-19 13:40:31 GMT <angelborroy> @yreg ACS 5.1 + APS 5.1 using HTTPs
2019-02-19 13:40:43 GMT <angelborroy> @yreg I cannot navigate to Sites from APS Modeller
2019-02-19 13:40:51 GMT <angelborroy> @yreg Is it familiar to you?
2019-02-19 13:41:24 GMT <angelborroy> @yreg I mean APS 1.5
2019-02-19 13:46:55 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Loftux> Customer reported this on the mixed up user issue: 1. We noticed that on a single node environment this just works fine. 2. We also stopped one node in clustered environment and issue still exists 3. We saw that it work just fine when used individual node id rather than Load Balancer ID in clustered environment
2019-02-19 13:47:40 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Loftux> Not sure what "individual node id" is in this case
2019-02-19 14:00:29 GMT <angelborroy> @yreg I was using TLSv1.2 and I forgot to include JCE Unlimited
2019-02-19 14:00:34 GMT <angelborroy> @yreg, thanks anyway
2019-02-19 14:06:16 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> np

2019-02-19 20:27:27 GMT <alfresco-discord> <mbui> Heads up to people using Alfresco Desktop Sync in a production environment. Apparently disabling activemq can "bring down" the system, making it READ only. The absence of activemq caused DB connection locks / keeping transactions in sleep without releasing them.
