Daily Log for #alfresco

2019-04-02 06:07:36 GMT <alfresco-discord> <mg_itn> It also takes a long time for the Download to start in Chrome, once the Download Button is clicked in ADF.

2019-04-02 08:10:22 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Jimmie> Hello, is there any issue with alfresco 5.1.5 and Kerberos?

2019-04-02 09:18:04 GMT <alfresco-discord> <mg_itn> The whole Download File process seems to have problems. Somehow the complete file gets cached temporarly. So in order to download a file with for example 32gb size, I definitely need 32 gb space at least. And also using the Orca installation, my repository container will just stop, once I download a bigger file with the REST API.

2019-04-02 10:46:13 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> Can I pay someone to fix / set up community edition? 😐

2019-04-02 10:49:39 GMT <angelborroy> What problems are you experimenting, Mark?

2019-04-02 10:50:46 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> currently it's replication

2019-04-02 10:51:00 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> but there are likely larger issues causing other problems

2019-04-02 10:51:26 GMT <angelborroy> You are using Community, right?

2019-04-02 10:51:32 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> yeah

2019-04-02 10:51:39 GMT <angelborroy> what country?

2019-04-02 10:51:44 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> UK

2019-04-02 10:51:58 GMT <angelborroy> ok, let me see if I find someone to help you

2019-04-02 10:52:09 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> thanks 😃

2019-04-02 10:57:29 GMT <alfresco-discord> <angel.borroy> @digcat can help you

2019-04-02 10:57:46 GMT <alfresco-discord> <angel.borroy> Let's see if he reads this message later

2019-04-02 10:58:32 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> Thanks Angel

2019-04-02 11:00:42 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> I can get it all working fine without SSL, including LDAPs & replication, it's when I add SSL the built in replication gives me: javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: peer not authenticated

2019-04-02 11:01:10 GMT <angelborroy> I use to configure an HTTP Proxy for the SSL thing

2019-04-02 11:01:13 GMT <angelborroy> It’s easier

2019-04-02 11:01:51 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> would I not still face the peer not authenticated issue when trying to replicate?

2019-04-02 11:02:36 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> can I relax the SSL checks?

2019-04-02 11:03:40 GMT <angelborroy> Main problem is you need now to have lot of truststores and keystores syncrhonised

2019-04-02 11:03:49 GMT <angelborroy> As you are using certificates in the JVM

2019-04-02 11:03:59 GMT <angelborroy> If you use only certificates on the HTTP layer, things are easier

2019-04-02 11:04:36 GMT <angelborroy> Probably this can help you to understand the complexity of using certificates in JVM

2019-04-02 11:04:38 GMT <alfbot> Title:Configuring Alfresco SSL certificates | Programming and So (at angelborroy.wordpress.com)

2019-04-02 11:05:45 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> I was reading that yesterday, it's what made me learn I needed the ssl certificate in the the solr keystore 😃

2019-04-02 11:07:18 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> before being forced to work with alfresco community edition about 8 months ago I'd never worked with tomcat, java stuff, certificates, any of it really

2019-04-02 11:07:43 GMT <angelborroy> In that case, probably Docker is the easier alternative

2019-04-02 11:07:58 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> The worst thing is I don't hate it, at least if I hated it I could push to move to confluence

2019-04-02 11:08:40 GMT <angelborroy> Did you test things like this one?

2019-04-02 11:08:41 GMT <angelborroy> https://github.com/keensoft/docker-alfresco

2019-04-02 11:08:42 GMT <alfbot> Title:GitHub - keensoft/docker-alfresco: Docker Alfresco Compose ready to be used (at github.com)

2019-04-02 11:08:54 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> how long do you think it'd take setting up a new instance? just a rough number

2019-04-02 11:09:06 GMT <angelborroy> 4 hours?

2019-04-02 11:09:15 GMT <angelborroy> (With Docker is about 30 minutes)

2019-04-02 11:09:21 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> 😮

2019-04-02 11:09:43 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> and can I just reuse the same LDAP config?

2019-04-02 11:09:48 GMT <angelborroy> sure

2019-04-02 11:09:53 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> 😮

2019-04-02 11:10:57 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> so putting off the update has potentially cost me days of of work for nothing? 😐

2019-04-02 11:11:25 GMT <angelborroy> I should not say “nothing”

2019-04-02 11:11:32 GMT <angelborroy> You learned a lot in the way

2019-04-02 11:11:45 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> very true

2019-04-02 11:11:50 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> very very true

2019-04-02 12:56:00 GMT <alfresco-discord> <drazen04> Hi. There is a way to hide "start workflow" in document library when a document is locked?

2019-04-02 12:56:41 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> yes look for share evaluator

2019-04-02 12:57:05 GMT <alfresco-discord> <drazen04> In particular, if i create an evaluator how can i intercept the "workflow" action?

2019-04-02 13:03:14 GMT <alfresco-discord> <drazen04> Thank you, guys. This will be useful💪

2019-04-02 13:44:09 GMT <alfresco-discord> <drazen04> I did it adding the "isLocked" evaluator negate to the "document-assign-workflow". But how can i have same behaviour for multi-select?

2019-04-02 13:47:52 GMT <angelborroy> Read the lines above that link I pasted before

2019-04-02 13:47:58 GMT <angelborroy> you have the “multi-select” section

2019-04-02 13:50:03 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> hi guys, any idea what is the condition (share) to add an option in the "specialise type" rule action? Tried Action Wizards and Content Wizards but "nada"

2019-04-02 13:51:45 GMT <angelborroy> this should be defined on the repo part

2019-04-02 13:52:49 GMT <angelborroy> So probably it’s a better idea to create a new action

2019-04-02 13:53:02 GMT <angelborroy> or you should overwrite some resources...

2019-04-02 14:03:38 GMT <alfresco-discord> <drazen04> @angel.borroy Yes, i know that section, but i would know if there is a way to "evaluate" in the multi-select also.

2019-04-02 14:20:51 GMT <alfresco-discord> <drazen04> I read it about, it seems can't be done

2019-04-02 15:32:33 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> @angelborroy was it for me or for drazen ?

2019-04-02 15:33:13 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> aha for him ... you meantioned specialize type so thought was for me, because it would not make sense to be on the repo side only

2019-04-02 15:47:48 GMT <alfresco-discord> <drazen04> I solved. Now, i add an aspect when i lock the doc, then i use "hasAspect" and "noAspect" to show or hide in multi-select.

2019-04-02 16:23:16 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> defining a title of the type/aspect does not help if it is defined as a label on the share side, but once it is defined on the repository side ... kabum ... the type appears in the rule/actions selection. But before that it was shown in the "change type" action ... anyhow
