Daily Log for #alfresco

2019-07-30 05:21:04 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Arun> Can someone please give information on how can we do exception handling in allfresco process service.

2019-07-30 05:39:52 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> not sure what you are looking for but have a look at error boundary events

2019-07-30 05:59:26 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Arun> Ok thanks dgradecak,Can you send me a sample usecase of error boundary events.

2019-07-30 07:37:40 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> https://www.activiti.org/userguide/#bpmnBoundaryErrorEvent

2019-07-30 07:37:41 GMT <alfbot> Title:Activiti User Guide (at www.activiti.org)

2019-07-30 07:56:50 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> @angelborroy do you know the reason for using "libreoffice-dist-5.4.6-linux.gz" I mean in the transformation libre office project it is still that old version

2019-07-30 07:57:02 GMT <angelborroy> Not really

2019-07-30 08:08:41 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> @AFaust is going to love the hardcoded values in these new transformation services 😉

2019-07-30 08:15:07 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> any idea why through the docker images I get a "timeout" from nginx? cannot access either share or alfresco interfaces once started through docker compose

2019-07-30 08:17:43 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> I mean for 6.2.0-A2

2019-07-30 08:32:23 GMT <angelborroy> Are you using https://github.com/Alfresco/acs-community-deployment?

2019-07-30 08:32:25 GMT <alfbot> Title:GitHub - Alfresco/acs-community-deployment: Deployment descriptors pull together Alfresco Content Services (Community) (at github.com)

2019-07-30 08:33:30 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> indeed

2019-07-30 08:33:47 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> did a down of the previous images

2019-07-30 08:35:17 GMT <angelborroy> Let me try

2019-07-30 08:44:48 GMT <angelborroy> It’s working for me

2019-07-30 08:44:54 GMT <angelborroy> http://localhost:8080/alfresco

2019-07-30 08:44:59 GMT <angelborroy> http://localhost:8080/share

2019-07-30 08:45:13 GMT <angelborroy> But I’m running on Mac

2019-07-30 08:50:35 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> so I should convert my soul too 😉

2019-07-30 08:50:43 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> retrying down + up again

2019-07-30 08:52:11 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> I mean all starts up correctly, no exception or so

2019-07-30 08:53:21 GMT <angelborroy> Any error on stack trace?

2019-07-30 08:53:53 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> nothing at all

2019-07-30 08:54:02 GMT <angelborroy> Probably is the memory for Docker

2019-07-30 08:54:09 GMT <angelborroy> How many RAM did you set to Docker?

2019-07-30 08:55:02 GMT <angelborroy> That Docker template requires at least 12 GB

2019-07-30 08:55:20 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> actually there is an error when starting libreoffice

2019-07-30 08:55:52 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> ok, I had 5G

2019-07-30 08:55:56 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> putting it to 20G now

2019-07-30 08:56:52 GMT <angelborroy> Yep, I have 20 GB by default

2019-07-30 08:56:53 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> did not think of that at all

2019-07-30 08:57:46 GMT <angelborroy> Alfresco has become a RAM monster demanding with all the “well-sized” services :D

2019-07-30 08:59:33 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> well I used to size my dev machines with 32G of ram, seems I need to upgrade that now

2019-07-30 09:04:44 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> you are right angel

2019-07-30 09:05:01 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> I can access the images now

2019-07-30 09:05:04 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> damn 😄

2019-07-30 09:05:36 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> however, I also started that locally without docker earlier, and noticed that RM and google docs integration do not work of course

2019-07-30 09:05:48 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> and I see the same google docs issue in docker images

2019-07-30 09:06:01 GMT <angelborroy> Time to raise an issue! ;-)

2019-07-30 09:06:28 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> I cannot access my jira account;) but I am making notes

2019-07-30 09:17:45 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> greta at least now from the images I can access my local "transformation" services

2019-07-30 09:18:26 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> I did not yet investigate, but do you know the difference between -DlocalTransform.tika.url=http://tika:8090/

2019-07-30 09:18:32 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> and -Dtika.url=http://tika:8090/

2019-07-30 09:24:09 GMT <angelborroy> Nope

2019-07-30 09:24:56 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> found this: # Legacy tika and misc transformer url to T-Engines to service transform requests via http. Disabled by default. tika.url=

2019-07-30 09:25:29 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> and than it is re-enabled in docker

2019-07-30 09:36:28 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> is there any documentation about how new transformation engines should be developed?

2019-07-30 09:39:54 GMT <angelborroy> I don’t think so

2019-07-30 09:51:32 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> would be great if ACA was included in docker compose too

2019-07-30 10:10:27 GMT <alfresco-discord> <MorganP> Docker is a RAM monster, not Alfresco

2019-07-30 10:20:24 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> is jdk 11 used to build alfresco-repository?

2019-07-30 10:20:43 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> when cloning the repo, xml dependencies are not present

2019-07-30 10:22:19 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> hm maybe I need the correct branch first

2019-07-30 10:34:55 GMT <angelborroy> @MorganP take a look at the new Transform Service… That requires about 6 GB by itself

2019-07-30 10:35:01 GMT <angelborroy> And this is not Docker

2019-07-30 11:09:59 GMT <alfresco-discord> <sumit> @dgradecak @hi-ko @MorganP @angel.borroy This is to update you about the search issue I was facing. Issue was: I had created some users through CSV upload. There was some users with commas(double commas") and because of that some users was unable to search from non-admin users.

2019-07-30 11:10:08 GMT <alfresco-discord> <sumit> I have found a fix for this.

2019-07-30 11:10:29 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> great. what was it?

2019-07-30 11:11:47 GMT <alfresco-discord> <sumit> I have overrided People.java and used PermissionEvaluationMode NONE.

2019-07-30 11:12:27 GMT <alfresco-discord> <sumit> Used PermissionEvaluationMode.NONE rather then PermissionEvaluationMode.EAGER

2019-07-30 11:12:52 GMT <alfresco-discord> <sumit> and all users are able to search from non-admin also now.

2019-07-30 11:13:25 GMT <alfresco-discord> <sumit> is there any complication of using PermissionEvaluationMode as EAGER then NONE.

2019-07-30 11:14:44 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> I find this strange that it has to do with permissions

2019-07-30 11:14:45 GMT <alfresco-discord> <sumit> public PermissionEvaluationMode getPermissionEvaluationMode() { return PermissionEvaluationMode.NONE; }

2019-07-30 11:17:48 GMT <alfresco-discord> <sumit> any idea why this use PermissionEvaluationMode.EAGER

2019-07-30 11:17:48 GMT <alfresco-discord> <sumit> I am bit worried if this do any other complication
