2019-08-08 04:55:51 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Thilina> Hello Guys, I am new to Alfresco. I want to know why there are two different of alfresco ADF default application (generated by yeoman) and alfreco-content-app ? UI layout of both of app are diferent too. what should I used create Alfreco ADF application.
2019-08-08 06:59:33 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> well, ADF is a sort of a component library (some call it framework) and the ACA (alfresco content app) is a sample of what can be done it is not a finished application. For yeoman I think different people maintain it and it is probably a different sample etc ...
2019-08-08 06:59:45 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> I do not have a better explaination unfortunately
2019-08-08 09:51:54 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> guys, has beecon.buzz expired?
2019-08-08 09:52:13 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> I was trying to find the ADF presentation that were done, but can't find it
2019-08-08 09:52:20 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> and the beecon.buzz ain't working either
2019-08-08 11:26:47 GMT <AFaust> bhagyas: good question regarding beecon.buzz
2019-08-08 11:27:11 GMT <AFaust> I don't actually know where / who was hosting the site.
2019-08-08 11:28:40 GMT <AFaust> Not that it is another site managed via Martin that we now have to re-domain until Spanish/UK authorities get their act together so we can properly transfer anything in his name to someone else from the order
2019-08-08 12:35:42 GMT <alfresco-discord> <digcat> bhagyas if you know the the presentation, its all in github, not sure which one your after was it this one https://github.com/OrderOfTheBee/beecon/tree/gh-pages/2017/assets/files/F28
2019-08-08 12:35:43 GMT <alfbot> Title:beecon/2017/assets/files/F28 at gh-pages · OrderOfTheBee/beecon · GitHub (at github.com)
2019-08-08 12:37:06 GMT <alfresco-discord> <digcat> if not use the search in github to locate the subfolder
2019-08-08 13:02:54 GMT <alfresco-discord> <digcat> @bhagyas Axel sorted out a redirect so those beecon.buzz links look to be working now
2019-08-08 13:03:23 GMT <alfresco-discord> <digcat> like http://beecon.buzz/2017/assets/files/F42/A%20real%20ADF%20experience-3.pdf
2019-08-08 14:09:38 GMT <alfresco-discord> <asg> Hi there, We started to migrate to alfresco 6.1. I started to migrate on my macbook Pro 2015 and all Docker container started successfully. Then I go a new MacBook Pro 2019 and it's not working here. It looks like not all of our custom models are applied. In fact we have different maven modules with different alfresco models, and they are dependent on each other and it looks like they are applied in the
2019-08-08 14:09:38 GMT <alfresco-discord> wrong order. I also tested it on a windows laptop and it worked fine there. All versions are the same. Does somebody had a similar issue or maybe an idea what the problem could be?
2019-08-08 14:34:15 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> Thanks @digcat @Afaust
2019-08-08 15:13:52 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> @asg you can either make your modules dependant (in module properties add module.depends.MY_DEPNDANT=version) one on the other or even your specific model deployment spring beans(depends-on)
2019-08-08 15:14:35 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> @AFaust: any new findings on the "transformers" ?
2019-08-08 15:16:59 GMT <AFaust> No - still not had time to check. Had 2 customers with emergency issues this week which took all available time - will actually have to travel tomorrow for one just to be able to inspect a memory dump, since their organisation can't provide me with any kind of remote access and even things like TeamViewer / Web Sessions are quite limited...
2019-08-08 15:19:12 GMT <AFaust> I had hoped I could get some insight from a colleague at a customer where 6.1 transformers were supposed to be investigated to determine how we need to adapt ours, but that guy could unfortunately not be motivated to take a serious look, and when he found out he could still support legacy transformers, he was "satisfied" in his work.
2019-08-08 15:19:37 GMT <AFaust> 6.1 => 6.1 + future (6.2)
2019-08-08 15:21:45 GMT <AFaust> Obviously not a colleague / employee of my company, as job security with such an approach to analysis / investigations would fast approach 0...
2019-08-08 16:41:58 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> Well the best mark in croatia is 5 and in germany 1 i think. So 0 is better than 1;)
2019-08-08 16:57:44 GMT <AFaust> If we were talking about school grades, maybe. But I would rate job security in % (chance to retain job), and a big fat 0 there would be far from ideal.
2019-08-08 18:25:39 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> I hope the travel is not in Belgium 😉 I worked for a client that could not have internet at their premises and making a new deploy was damn impossible on site even since they did not use any CI tools for their Alfresco deploys
2019-08-08 18:26:23 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> btw, "online" meetings were done via phone calls, because there was no internet 😄
2019-08-08 18:32:48 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> "listenablefuture-9999.0-empty-to-avoid-conflict-with-guava.jar" anyone seen this jar on the repo side
2019-08-08 23:47:54 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Mark-Unofficial> Hey guys, is there a pain free tutorial for installing the newest community edition that anyone knows of?
