2019-08-12 11:48:21 GMT <AFaust> Argh. If a node - for whatever reason - does not have all of the default aspects applied (e.g. model changed after node creation), it can no longer be copied. CopyService will use existing aspects to lookup copy behaviours in preparation phase, but use default aspects in copy phase when building initial copyProperties (will use existing aspects later), and throws a fit if behaviour for any aspect has not been initialized...
2019-08-12 12:04:58 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> is that an issue or a feature 😉
2019-08-12 12:20:37 GMT <AFaust> Well, if you are going to pre-build a collection of callbacks that you need, you should at least guarantee that everything you always call (regardless of DB state) is in there.
2019-08-12 12:23:22 GMT <AFaust> Alternatively, if default aspects are such a big deal, maybe ALL of your operations that touch a node should make sure they are lazily initialised if missing. The nodes in question that are problematic in my case have actually been touched by a patch (mapped some other aspects), but for some reason the (new) default aspect(s) have not been applied automatically (which is common default if you use createNode/addNodeProperties etc.)
2019-08-12 12:24:13 GMT <AFaust> Some of the operations in NodeService don't "obey" this implicit behavioural contract even though they perform similar changes than the operations that obey that contract.
2019-08-12 12:24:41 GMT <AFaust> TL;DR: The typical inconsistency in Alfresco implemented service operations...
2019-08-12 12:47:52 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> that is enterprise software made by "humans" 😄
2019-08-12 12:48:43 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> btw, is the ACS gitter channel of any usage?
2019-08-12 13:51:02 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> @dgradecak I think ACS gitter is better for ACS stuff, since the Alfresco ACS team doesn't seem to want to deal with IRC/discord community much :p
2019-08-12 13:51:18 GMT <alfresco-discord> <bhagyas> (Maybe we ask too many questions)
2019-08-12 13:54:09 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> my question was mor "ironic"
2019-08-12 13:54:21 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> but your constation is true of course
2019-08-12 13:57:06 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> I asked something on that channel 3 days ago (ok including weekend) but "nada"
2019-08-12 13:58:51 GMT <AFaust> Oh, that kind of delay is quite common in that channel. Give it one or two more weeks...
2019-08-12 13:59:58 GMT <AFaust> It's a high level channel for DBP and only a few PMs / architects look after it whenever they feel like it.
2019-08-12 14:05:45 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> I am not surprised and cannot blame them 😉
2019-08-12 14:06:06 GMT <alfresco-discord> <dgradecak> if I had such a community I would ignore it also
