2019-12-03 12:31:19 GMT <angelborroy> Sorry, it includes customer data

2019-12-03 12:31:24 GMT <angelborroy> But it’s solved by

2019-12-03 12:31:54 GMT <angelborroy> Enough for you?

2019-12-03 12:49:37 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> Hi! I have just released the new version of APS SDK that supports also APS 1.10 and you can execute unit and integration-tests. Contributions are welcome 😄 https://www.open4dev.com/journal/2019/12/3/updating-the-alfresco-process-services-sdk

2019-12-03 12:49:38 GMT <alfbot> Title:Updating the Alfresco Process Services SDK — Open4Dev (at www.open4dev.com)

2019-12-03 13:11:46 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Douglas Paes (douglascrp)> @crileiton have you executed the create database script after the install? And have you configured the database connection?

2019-12-03 13:13:33 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Douglas Paes (douglascrp)> The main script does not perform those steps

2019-12-03 13:22:52 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Thijs> @angel.borroy Thanks, but I got the message from Alfresco support that 6.1.2 is out and my issue is now fixed

2019-12-03 13:23:22 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Thijs> however, I cannot find it in the downloads section of the support portal, or in artifacts.alfresco.com

2019-12-03 13:25:33 GMT <angelborroy> I can’t find it either

2019-12-03 13:26:12 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Thijs> Should it be out? Maybe the support engineer was confused with 6.2

2019-12-03 13:32:50 GMT <angelborroy> It looks like it’s 6.1.1.2

2019-12-03 13:33:46 GMT <angelborroy> I’m checking internally

2019-12-03 14:49:55 GMT <hi-ko> now I understand the hype about sharding. ASS / solr6 is so much slower than Alfresco5/solr4 using the same setup (ram/storage, caches)

2019-12-03 14:51:34 GMT <hi-ko> it looks like ass is only using one core per request and reads the index parts sequential

2019-12-03 14:53:50 GMT <hi-ko> the cpu is bored and the storage is not reading to much data at once. totally different picture than running with alfresco 5.2/solr4

2019-12-03 14:56:10 GMT <hi-ko> so I guess the only option we have to get better thruput is to configure sharding, right?

2019-12-03 14:59:39 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Angelo> Hi everyone ! I have tried to integrate Alfresco Search Services 1.4 using mutal TLS communication with Alfresco 6.1.1. Using the JDK version indicatedin the documentation (11.0.1) i saw that ASS could not connect to ACS, but using a greater version of JDK it works. Someone encountered the same problem?

2019-12-03 15:03:17 GMT <hi-ko> Hi Angelo, we tested with AdoptOpenJDK (build 11.0.5+10), which worked in principle but we downgraded to AdoptOpenJDK build 1.8.0_232-b09 due to masive GC problems

2019-12-03 15:06:02 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> 😕 I would like to see the official Alfresco Supported Platforms page updated as excepted...

2019-12-03 15:06:54 GMT <angelborroy> TLS works with OpenJDK 11

2019-12-03 15:07:54 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> it seems that we had issues with OpenJDK 11.0.1 or 11.0.2. OpenJDK 11.0.4 and 11.0.5 work fine

2019-12-03 15:08:17 GMT <hi-ko> I could confirm that TLS works since the beginning of ASS with all OpenJDK 11 versions we tested

2019-12-03 15:09:01 GMT <hi-ko> But yes - we never tested versions < 11.0.4

2019-12-03 15:09:04 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> Using ACS 6.11 and ASS 1.4 with OpenJDK 11.0.1 seems not working

2019-12-03 15:09:42 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> ok guys, but in the official documentation Alfresco is saying to use OpenJDK 11.0.1 ....

2019-12-03 15:10:04 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> 😫

2019-12-03 15:10:24 GMT <hi-ko> somthing angelborroy could fix?

2019-12-03 15:10:49 GMT <angelborroy> You can always create a ticket to validate there is a problem and have the chance to fix that

2019-12-03 15:11:25 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> yes the ticket is raised and currently we are solving the problem by ourselves...

2019-12-03 15:11:47 GMT <hi-ko> angelborroy: have you seen my previous comments concerning performance difference between 6.1/ass-1.4 and 5.2/solr4 ?

2019-12-03 15:11:48 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> ... Alfresco Support is replying to take a look at the official documentation that is wrong....

2019-12-03 15:11:57 GMT <angelborroy> Anyway, I have it working with TLS and JDK 11.0.1

2019-12-03 15:12:22 GMT <angelborroy> You can test that with

2019-12-03 15:12:23 GMT <angelborroy> https://github.com/Alfresco/alfresco-docker-installer

2019-12-03 15:12:24 GMT <alfbot> Title:GitHub - Alfresco/alfresco-docker-installer: Generator to build Docker Compose templates to deploy Alfresco Community (at github.com)

2019-12-03 15:12:25 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> Oracle JDK or OpenJDK? @angel.borroy

2019-12-03 15:12:41 GMT <angelborroy> OpenJDK Runtime Environment 18.9 (build 11.0.1+13)

2019-12-03 15:12:57 GMT <angelborroy> Sorry, hi-ko, not time to validate your inputs

2019-12-03 15:13:07 GMT <angelborroy> But I’ll take a look if you gather some information later this week

2019-12-03 15:13:11 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> which version of ASS?

2019-12-03 15:13:33 GMT <hi-ko> latest 1.3 and 1.4 same behavior

2019-12-03 15:13:42 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> @angel.borroy it is clear that you need to update the Alfresco Supported Platforms page in order to avoid confusion among different versions of ASS

2019-12-03 15:14:04 GMT <hi-ko> using only one core / taking much longer than 5.2/solr4

2019-12-03 15:14:26 GMT <angelborroy> I cannot start an spike with that

2019-12-03 15:14:46 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> if you don't test your platform using the official stack, you have to update the stack to the correct version of OpenJDK you are using internally to execute the test suite

2019-12-03 15:15:28 GMT <angelborroy> I guess in the official page it says 11.0.1

2019-12-03 15:15:29 GMT <hi-ko> I understand - it's just an observation and I hoped to get an explaination / feedback.

2019-12-03 15:15:33 GMT <angelborroy> Am I wrong or blind?

2019-12-03 15:16:17 GMT <angelborroy> https://docs.alfresco.com/6.1/concepts/supported-platforms-ACS.html

2019-12-03 15:16:18 GMT <alfbot> Title:Supported Platforms | Alfresco Documentation (at docs.alfresco.com)

2019-12-03 15:26:55 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Luca.Biondo> Yes in the official page says 11.0.1 but for us it didn't work with 11.0.1 nor with 11.0.2. After a while we tried updating the OpenJDK to the 11.0.4 and it works. We tested the 11.0.5 too, works fine. So it seam that the supported platform page should be updated to avoid this problem to others in the future.

2019-12-03 15:30:21 GMT <angelborroy> Again… did you test https://github.com/Alfresco/alfresco-docker-installer

2019-12-03 15:30:22 GMT <alfbot> Title:GitHub - Alfresco/alfresco-docker-installer: Generator to build Docker Compose templates to deploy Alfresco Community (at github.com)

2019-12-03 15:30:27 GMT <angelborroy> That works with TLS and 11.0.1

2019-12-03 15:30:40 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> No, we can't use Docker or any other orchestrator for this customer

2019-12-03 15:30:46 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> unfortunately....

2019-12-03 15:31:13 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> we are using the distribution ZIP, manual installation....

2019-12-03 15:31:30 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> a lot of time invested to resolve this issue...

2019-12-03 15:31:44 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> I mean an Enterprise customer...

2019-12-03 15:32:43 GMT <angelborroy> So, from your experience:

2019-12-03 15:33:02 GMT <angelborroy> ASS 1.3 / 1.4 doesn’t work with TLS when using OpenJDK 11.0.1

2019-12-03 15:33:03 GMT <angelborroy> Right?

2019-12-03 15:34:29 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Luca.Biondo> ASS 1.4 only, and yes it doesn't work with OpenJDK 11.0.1

2019-12-03 15:35:07 GMT <angelborroy> But there is an open ticket for that, right?

2019-12-03 15:35:23 GMT <alfresco-discord> <Luca.Biondo> Yes right

2019-12-03 15:35:56 GMT <angelborroy> Which one?

2019-12-03 15:41:49 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> 01000101

2019-12-03 15:42:14 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> it's not a joke it is the real case number 😉

2019-12-03 15:44:58 GMT <angelborroy> I have no access to those support cases

2019-12-03 15:45:07 GMT <angelborroy> I don’t know if there is a JIRA Ticket for that

2019-12-03 15:45:13 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> @PJ I think Angel referring you to the docker installer was more about running the installer specifying your version and desired config

2019-12-03 15:45:39 GMT <alfresco-discord> <yreg> then accessing the docker-compose file and peek at the config to get some inspiration on how you should configure yours 😉

2019-12-03 15:46:02 GMT <alfresco-discord> <PJ> I don't need that because we have solved changing the OpenJDK version...

2019-12-03 15:46:41 GMT <angelborroy> Just trying to hel

2019-12-03 15:46:45 GMT <angelborroy> help

2019-12-03 15:46:56 GMT <angelborroy> I know it works with OpenJDK 11.0.1

2019-12-03 15:47:12 GMT <angelborroy> But probably there is some configuration at your side that we didn’t test

2019-12-03 15:47:31 GMT <angelborroy> Anyway, if you are happy with that, I’m happy with that

2019-12-03 16:43:40 GMT <hi-ko> @PJ: Do you have measures comparing search performance between solr4 and ASS/6.1.1? We see performance decrease by x2,4 to x4 and didn't find any difference in configuration.
